Admissions are mostly on the basis of rank of the candidate in the concerned entrance tests, i.e., the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) or other entrance tests. Also, if a student is offered a job and later becomes eligible for a "Dream Offer", meaning one that pays more than two times the compensation package of the original one, they can accept the better-paying job. Such provisions are made to maintain equity in the placement process while respecting students' desires for occupations closely related to their area of study or better-paying ones.
