CGC College of Engineering located at Landran campus, Mohali near Chandigarh (Punjab) is an engineering college under the aegis of Chandigarh Group of Colleges. CGC College of Engineering is affiliated to Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar. CGC College of Engineering was established in the year of 2002. The college has been accredited with “A” grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

CGC College of Engineering B.Tech Admission 2024

CGC College of Engineering offers B.Tech degree program under four different specializations. The regular B.Tech course is offered for a duration of four years. The college also provides B.Tech degree under lateral entry, for which the course duration is three years.

Admission to the regular B.Tech program will be based on merit in JEE Main along with the marks obtained in 10+2 or equivalent examination. Admission to the B.Tech lateral program will be based on merit in the qualifying examination i.e. three years Diploma in Engineering.

CGC College of Engineering M.Tech Admission 2024

College offers M.Tech degree program at the postgraduate level under four different specializations. The course duration of each of the M.Tech specialization is two years.

To be considered eligible for the M.Tech program, a candidate needs to hold a Bachelor of Technology or Bachelor of Engineering degree in the relevant discipline.

Admission to the M.Tech. program will be done through an entrance examination followed by an interview conducted by Chandigarh University. Candidates having a valid GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) score are exempted from the Entrance test.

In order to apply online, candidates need to follow the given link and complete filling the form Online.
Candidates need to create an account – they will be prompted to enter the name and email address with other information. Then they need to verify their email account and log in to the application site.
Applicants should follow the instructions specific to their selected program type.
No Fee is charged from SC/ST students of Punjab whose family income from all sources is less than INR 2.5 Lakh per annum. These students have to apply for Post Matric Scholarship Scheme of the Govt. through Registrar Office of the College.

Admission:

I applied for thappar university, patiala but on basis of my jee mains result they offers me mechanical branch in which I was not interested. My jee mains percentile was 86. The fees structure of these college was less as compared to other colleges and it provides better knowledge and have good infrastructure as compared to others college that's why i choose these college on others. The admission process was direct admission on the basis of your 12th marks which was have to above 75%. The college conduct only a scholarship exam for punjab students which has low family income. The cutoff the exam was around 60-70%

The admission process of your college is direct admission and first come first serve .Students mainly prefer the Btech course for their higher studies due to high scope in this career the cutoff percentage is not mandatory over here.

Cgc landran story: from classroom to career

Admission:

I try to take admission in Chandigarh university but due to my low score in class 12th I can't get admission in Chandigarh university. So I prefer cgc Landran because this is located near to my city. I got rejection form chanfigarh university beacuse of my low grade in 12 th class. Admisson process at cgc landran For b.tech cse Passed 10+2 with 60-80% marks in physical, math and chemistry. Jee main score was considered but direct admission is also possible. Scholarships were available based on JEE rank and 12th percentage.

A good college with nice amenities

Admission:

I applied for chitkara university for btech cse and punjab university for bca . I didn't get a rejection but it was my sole choice for this college . Fees for other colleges was high and placements were not that good compared to tier 3 colleges. Admission process is both online and offline . Exams are fine but difficult
