Likes

The campus is calm, green and isolated fro mthe busy main city of Pune.
There is great junior and senior bonding in the college.
Sports culture at AIT is great. Student participate in many events.

Dislikes

The fees at AIT is very high including both academic and hostel fees.
The campus area is quite small and less no of hostels
Rules are strict so there are various fines due to dicipline.

I chose this college because of its good average and median placements in Information technology and Computer Enginering Branch. Students get time to develop skills on their own. Admission is only for ARMY brats and JEE mains rank is considered.

AIT- Good enough for you? or you good enough for AIT?

Likes

students here are quite decent given they are all jee qualifiers.
Since its an army college, exposure for forces and defence services is quite alot.
mess's food is pretty above average, considering other colleges.

Dislikes

gender ratio is 1:7, which is way too less even for engineering colleges.
fees is a bit too much as compared to other colleges.
fines are imposed by the academics in every single bad circumstance.

Admission:

i chose this college because i could not get much marks in jee, thus had this option only. the admission process is pretty simple, you applies for admission directly to college, then college makes a merit list on your rank and allocate different branches as per merit.,

The unfiltered review of AIT

Likes

The quality of students here are good, afterall the top 5% in jee, atleast COMP/IT.
The coding culture is pretty great here, considering the rank we got.
The senior to junior interaction is pretty decent.

Dislikes

The culture is AIT, where you gotta wear formals for 2 3 months, and there is an hostel intime varying from 8pm to 11.30 pm depending upon how the situation is in the college.
The academic block here imposes fine for literally anything, reasonable or not.
The college's infrastructure is below average, there aren't enough hostels to accomodate every single student here thus some students have to leave hostels and become day scholar(on the basis of cgpa)

Admission:

I chose this college because of the rank I got in jee. I should have chosen sgsits indore. Fees here is pretty high compare to other college. Admission is done by applying here separately. And merit list is made out of registered candidates. And get branches as per ranks.

Likes

since it is an army college so a student have to be very disciplined .it inculcates discipline and punctuality among students.
the sports facilities are also good .students are encouraged to join sports team and play.
the hostels are kept clean with regular housekeeping and proper sanitation.

Dislikes

the boys to girl ratio is very poor as it is seen in most of the engineering colleges.
since colleges is located in the outskirts of pune so going to shopping and entertainment spots take time.
some students report slow WIFI , especially during peak hours

Admission:

i chose this college because of disciplined environment and good placement opportunities compared to other private college.since it is exclusively for army perssonnel children it provides peer group with a shared background.yes i did got a rejection from bits pilani as the cutoff was very high and competition was extremely high.i should have prepared better for bitsat .for applying to ait pune you have to be army personnel kid candidates must have completed 12 th grade with pcm .admission is on the basis of jee mains rank.the admission process starts online and very smooth.there is no management quota ensuring transparency and fair to all students.

Ait pune: let's look after too it

Likes

There sports culture is just to good as they give extra care of your health by conducting morning PT and sports akriti
All classes are smart classes with educomp facilities
Bond between senior and junior is the best thing which you can get here

Dislikes

Compulsory 75%attendence is demerit as thick block some opportunity for students
Too many regulations in the college making college life not that intresting
Outpass system little difficult to get especially night outpass

Admission:

I give jee mains and advance and got 95 %ile at this percentile this was the best college which I can get it has far better placement then other private colleges especially for girls it is too good .it has an average package of 14 lkh and highest package is 51 lkh last year in microsoft. it focus both on academic and other co circular activities. For admission in this college u have to apply for jee mains and then fill the form of ait which is out in Jan or Feb then on merit based u get your branch and seat. Cs is the most preferred course in the college .

From hostel to hangout : A complete overview of AIT Pune

Likes

Academic excellence, skill development overall good community of like-minded people
Infrastructure and Facilities like Wi-Fi facility, Gym facility, sports facility and library
Army discipline and values, strong alumni network and culture of discipline, punctuality and respect

Dislikes

As there are many events going on in the campus so somtimes it is difficult to manage attendng multiple events here but at the same time if you know your priority then its good .

Admission:

I choosed this college because it has tha ARMY tag in its name and ARMY means discipline and actually the college has military like rules and regulations which is the best thing i feel is important and about safety so this college is also very safe. the admission process is a little long but all the steps are clearly communicated by the institue when you apply for it and all the details are avaliable on the website too. Eligibility exam is JEE Mains and cutoff is 95 percentile for Computer Engineering Branch and overall admission process is good and easy also

Real Facts of AIT

Likes

The most likable thing about the college is the clubs that you can join to learn management and teamwork while pursuing your interests
People come from all over india and have a passion for indian army which makes the college more diverse and lively, without any regional bias
The number of competition and participation available to get exposure if you are a really dedicated individual

Dislikes

The number of Fines is outrageous. Students have paid a total amount of more than 24lakhs in total fines in 2023. And it has crossed 21lakhs in 2024 within 1 semester
No holidays by college or university. Impossible to go home on such a short notice especially when information is given just a day before any holidays. No reservations are available and students suffer. Nothing more than 4 days is available
There is a very tedious and troublesome system to get any official document signed or work done.

Admission:

I applied to this college because it gives admission to only the wards of army personnel. My other options included thapar institute of technology that I didn't join as the admissions closed before AIT list came so I couldn't compare. I cleared cutoff for some NITs but not the advanced cutoff for IITs as my main focus was to join army. I got recommended and medical out so this college was my go to plan

Likes

The senior junior bond is very good in Army Institute Of Technology. Seniors help their juniors to grow in their respective fields.
The girl to boy ratio is getting better and better with every new batch.
Army Institute Of Technology focuses on overall development of Students. Helping them work on their skills.

Fees is very high in Army Institute Of Technology compared some other colleges.

The best part of Army Institute Of Technology is that, only wards of Army, Navy and Airforce are allowed to take admission only. With all the people coming from defense background makes the college experience amazing. We have to give JEE and on JEE score we get different branches.

Life at AIT pune

Likes

Every facilities are provided inside the college campus there is no need to go out for anything the college has also has a wide varity of sports like table tennis , squash , football , basketball and all.
the college is full of greenery and there are seperate hostels for each year so there is no ragging .
It provide a very good experience of college like as there are a lot no of clubs .

Dislikes

you have to enjoy every things under the limits and due to army there are many rules.
the fine system is worse ,There is fine for every thing .

Admission:

It provides a wide range experiance and being one of the only college managed by Indian Army it a feeling of pride , and the placements are desent taking about the admission process you must have given jee mains with a quite desent score it you want to join cse or it , and your parent must have served indian army for more than 10 years thenyou can apply for it on college website.

Everything you need to know about Ait Pune.

Likes

The environment the students create in the college or say hostel
Seniors bond, very helpful motivating guiding
Events are also good, they are organized by students so obviously they’ll be good

Dislikes

To be very honest the teachers there don’t have that much knowledge they should have, some teachers just copy paste( personal experience)
Too much fees seeing all the facilities they provide, the wuality they provide
Hostel wifi is literally bad, apart from youtube you can’t open anything, can’t even WhatsApp, and there are no networks in 1st year and 4th year hostel

Why did i chose this college - First of all i chose this college because of the name Army institute and didn't go to NIT. Second because of seeing the placements they were also good (not denying, they are good compared to most of the colleges in pune) Because of the reviews about the environment of this college the students make( no doubt, this is very disciplined and very very good compared to other engineering colleges) Because all the students in this college belongs to army background, thatyy I chose this, and I don't regret my decision of choosing this college, you'll get to know after reading my whole review
