Anand Engineering College (AEC), part of the Sharda Group of Institutions and established in 1996, is the oldest private engineering college in Western Uttar Pradesh. Admission requires participating in the UPSEE exam, with students allocated to branches based on their rank and a counseling process. The college is known for strong placements and qualified faculty, mostly postgraduates from prestigious institutions like IITs and NITs. In 2009, the first-year fee was approximately 128,000 INR, covering various charges, while subsequent years cost 110,000 INR annually.
Despite higher fees compared to regional colleges, the quality of education and facilities justifies the cost. AEC's placement record is commendable, particularly in mechanical, computer science, and electronics engineering, with salary packages ranging from 2.1 to 2.4 lakh per annum. Key recruiters include TATA Motors, TCS, Infosys, and more, facilitated by a proactive Training and Placement department. Scholarships are available for OBC, SC, and ST students, with full tuition refunds for SC/ST students.
Additionally, a tuition fee waiver is offered for the top 5% of students based on entrance exam ranks, in line with government policies.
