- Alternatively, a B.Sc degree with Mathematics as one of the subjects (minimum 45 percent aggregate) and Mathematics in Class 12 is also eligible for lateral entry admission as per AKTU norms
- Final merit is based on diploma/B.Sc aggregate marks and UPTAC rank; no JEE Main score is required for lateral entry admission
Admission Process
- Hold a diploma (or B.Sc with Mathematics) in the relevant branch with minimum 45 percent marks from a recognised polytechnic or university
- Apply at abes.ac.in from April 2026; register on the UPTAC portal when lateral entry registration opens in May 2026
- Fill in branch preferences including the chosen B.Tech specialization at ABES Engineering College; upload diploma/B.Sc mark sheets, Class 10 and 12 certificates, category certificate (if applicable), and Aadhaar card
- UPTAC prepares a merit list based on diploma aggregate; participate in counselling rounds (June to August 2026) for seat allotment
