The outgoing batch of Calicut Medical College has huge influence on all the hospitals all over Kerala. One can easily settle in any hospital (private or corporate setup) anywhere in Kerala after they complete their post-graduation in this institution, as it is known to produce great and competitive surgeons. Our batch of surgery residents (2014-2017) was a trendsetter batch with 100% pass. And it is certain that almost everyone of the batch has been well-placed after passing MS in this institution.
Likes
- Best Clinical Exposure.Calicut is the place where patients from 5 district of north kerala comes.So we get exposed to all sort of cases.Different anomalies and rare conditions etc.
- State of Art Equipments.The college owns the best Health Care equipments in the markets.
Dislikes
- No stipend during internship days.We have 7-8 hrs of duty shift in our internship days.But college doesnt provide any stipend.
- The amount of free time is less.We will be on our busy posting schedules
Internships Opportunities:
Internship is of compulsory mode and consist of one year full time rotatory internship which provide hands on experience on all technical aspects.Duty shifts are of Day,Night and on call duties.We will have To 3 night duty we will get one day off.And we will have 20 casual leave during our internship period.

- The faculties are good and they are very well experienced. They are very professional in their field.
- The labs are well maintained and all kinds of technical support is been provided in lab.
Internships Opportunities:
This college is a government college so it is attached with a hospital. It is one of the biggest college in Kerala and I think it comes under second position in Kerala and everyday there use to be a huge number of patients in the hospital and we students get the chance to work in lab and get real life experience...
Likes
- Better infrastructure and well maintained campus
- Case exposure is high as wards are always full
Dislikes
- Though there is case exposure there is no stress on clinical skills in the academics mainly theory part is given focus
- Classes could be made more interesting and interactive
Internships Opportunities:
The internship is provided by the college itself after the completion of 4 years of undergraduate course.. students are posted both at various departments in the college as well as in the nearby PHCs. The stipend offered is 25k per month and efforts are being taken for the stipend hike by 5%

- Hands on clinical experience because of high number of patients
- Highly qualified and experienced faculties
Dislikes
- Lack of facilities to accommodate this huge number of patients
- Highly competitive behaviour of peers which makes us more vulnerable
Internships Opportunities:
There' isn't any internship for B.sc MLT. But we'll be having clinical rotations in all departments (necessary) from our second year onwards. Clinical pathology ,clinical biochemistry, clinical microbiology, Histopathology, Cytology, Blood Bank, Serology, Mycology, Dermatology, and MRU are the major posting centers.

Internships Opportunities:
In MBBS 1 year compulsory intership must be done in your own college. We get experience in all the aspects of this job. We have to work in all the departments of the hospital. Rs 26000 is currently provided to an intern per month.

- Provides amazing clinical exposure, with patients from all over North Kerala and some parts of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka
- The faculties are dignitaries in their respective field
Dislikes
- Not the best infrastructure although developments are going on
- Academics can be a bit more organised

internship duties in CMC is very active with active involvement in all departments due to very high pafient load. All departments provide excellent training opportunities during clinical rotations lasting for one month

- I feel proud every day to be able to study in the best college in the state
- the facilities available for us our stadium gym etc

- Mosquitoes and the water scarcity problems in summer

after 4.5 years of MBBS there is an internship program lasting 1 year and considering the heavy patient load in our hospital it is very difficult for an intern to be peaceful sometimes we have to work all day

After completing 4.5 yr in college it offers 1 year internship. One year internship is included with 27000 rupees stipend monthly In interships postings in various clinical departments like medicine,gynaecology,surgery, pediatrics etc are completed No placements guaranteed

- I heard that The internship periods are very much knowledge gathering period, since there are lot of patients we can learn about very rare diseases which is very much helpful for becoming a good doctor, this presious knowledge gained from the college

- We should have more facilities for research and all.
- There shuld be more events for students to spend time
Internships Opportunities:
Internship of medical college is called house surgency through this period we can learn and perform many things in life. We will do the suturing and all and can assist many surgeries and all so that will help you a lot
