The course lasts four years, with three years of academic study followed by a one-year mandatory internship. Students gain significant clinical experience during the internship, especially in the busy ophthalmology department, which sees around 300 patients daily. However, the internship does not come with a stipend. Faculty members are qualified and approachable, but frequent transfers can disrupt the learning experience.
Exams are held annually, with results issued afterward. The annual tuition fees are structured as follows: 21,000 for the first year, 19,000 for the second year, 20,000 for the third year, and 18,000 for the fourth year. All students, except those who are children of government employees, are eligible for a fee refund through E grants.
