Goa medical College reveled

Likes

The overall campus is big so it feels joyful roaming around in the campus
The expertise of the faculties here is of the top level. They are having much knowledge and they try to share the most they know
The best thing here is lab facilities. The practicals are regularly held and are organised in much better way.

Dislikes

The fee here is much higher as compared to other government colleges
There is no playing ground in overall campus so we've to get bore in hostels
The charge of mess is quite higher still the quality of food sucks here

Internships Opportunities:

Internship is provided by the college itself which is within the campus. students are posted in various departments wards and OPDs monthly for a total period of 1 year the total stipend is 30000 rupees.

Teachers are too good and well knowledged

Dislikes

Infrastructure is not so good however new buildings are going to be constructed

Internships Opportunities:

As it is Mbbs there no companies to hire we are offered internships of 1 year by our college with a salary of 30000/-.After internship you can do Pg or can continue as medical officer or you can open .

Best review for Goa Medical College

Likes

College is too old so experienced professor.
Only one college in state so patient flow is great.
Lecture hall are good and professors are strict

Dislikes

There is no sports ground in my college.
Bad environment for students who comes from AIQ
College is from 9 to 5 in first year and 8 to 5 in 2nd year which will take your whole day.

Internships Opportunities:

Internship is for 1 year after final year of MBBS. Work load is too high during internship in this college so preparation for NEET PG should be difficult. College gives you stipened around 30000 during internship

Goa medical college, oldest in Asia

Likes

Campus is beautiful, well equipped and well maintained
Faculty take regular lectures and explain well both in lecture halls and in wards.
Patient load is high hence very good hands on experience

Internships Opportunities:

College internship held after 4 years of mbbs Lasts 1 year, rotations in all departments- surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, medicine and preventive and social medicine Lots of experience Stipend is around 30,000

Goa Medical College- a fun surprise

Likes

Professors, exposure, space, food, friendliness
Very experienced teachers that taught us very well
Hands on experiences with patients in real life

Dislikes

Some insincere teachers that were bad so yeah

Likes

There is a good load of patients so ample scope to gain clinical knowledge
We have really got awsome lecture hall as compared to other colleges
College is near the captial city of Panjim and hence is well connected

Dislikes

Fees are more as compared to other Government medical colleges
Strict attendance regulations, you should keep attendance above 75%
There are no vacations included in the calendar

Internships Opportunities:

There is compulsory internship after you complete 4th year. Students are offered 30k monthly for that. Students are rotated in all the department and provides exposure to all the type of medical field

College is super academic oriented.There are fest and parties tooo
Climate in goa remains almost same around the year,but has a heavy rainy season

There is a mandatory internship after 4.5 years of MBBS which every student has to do in the hospitals associated with college during internship we have became doctors we treat and see patients we work with different department

College Life in Goa Medical College

Likes

The faculty is exemplary with their extensive experience and profound knowledge in their respective fields.
The lecture hall is equipped with state-of-the-art amenities like smart boards and projectors.
There is availablity of water almost all the time with well maintained washrooms.

Dislikes

The college canteen food is could be better and the seating arrangements in the canteen needs improvement.
There is no network anywhere in the college, making it difficult to work on assignments.

Internship is for 1 year in the GMC hospital itself in all departments. Stipend is around 20,000 a month. The bond residentship which included service in rural and urban health care has been discontinued.

The place where I learned so many Things: My college

Likes

I didn't know much about the course when i opt for it but later on our teachers helped and explained us about everything
I really loved the hostel I got it's very near to my college and have good facilities

Dislikes

I didn't liked the food there the mess n canteen.
There was no any other things that i didn't liked.
I didn't liked the classrooms there was no proper place to take lectures.

Internships Opportunities:

This course provides Internship for 6 months and gives salary of 7000. But you get so much of awareness and experience for working. They provide 6 months internship in different different departments like orthopaedics neurology pediatrics psychiatry hospital also cardiac medicine surgery.

Exploring the only medical college in goa

Likes

The aspects of the college that i really appreciate is that it provides a really good practical experience which is hands on practicals on patients. A variety of patients can be observed.
Apart from providing good infrastructure the place also has various advanced technology to learn from. Ward facilities and classrooms are in good condition. There are many good SRs, JRs, and consultant to learn from.
The campus is widespread and a huge one. Multiple superspecialities also included. The new building has a complete AC set up which gives a unique and calm experience for learning. Good infrastructure.

Dislikes

Being a very large campus the college section still needs improvement in its old building as it is about to crash. The roads need improvement inside the campus. It takes a lot of time to travel from one place to another for lectures.
The condition of boys common room is very bad with just one table and a couple of chairs. As a result boys face a lot of difficulties such as durinh lunch time there is not enough place to accommodate everyone.
Speaking about faculties even though there are a few good clinical practitioners the teaching staff doesn't really take enough efforts apart from a few teachers. Most of the faculties ask students to prepare presentations and then teach their class.

Internships Opportunities:

Internship is provided by the college itself which is within the campus. Students are posted in various department wards and OPDs monthly for a total period of six months. The total stipend is 7,000 rupees. The stipend is very less as compared to other course. It needs significant improvement. I haven't yet done my internship but been hearing experiences from my seniors. It is a bit stressful but a good practical experience is achieved. Simultaneously they also need to work on their thesis.
