As going through a professional course of MBBS, there is no question for any placements and job. This course simply makes a doctor. With only MBBS, if a person applies for a job, he or she would have a decent package of Rs 60000 per month. Taking higher studies by getting an MD or MS course the amount can reach up to 1.2 to 1.5 lakhs per month with promotion.

After completion of the course, one has to give one year of complementary internship. After that one can-1. apply for jobs in Govt. Health Centres or 2. can take the Housestaffship At the same college or 3. can appear For Postgraduate entrance exams. Almost all the students get a job if they want to take. Otherwise, there are other scopes of higher studies. One can appear for UPSC exams too. My plan is to appear for the Postgraduate Entrance test to pursue MD/MS degree.

This most interesting thing after having 4.5 years of MBBS, you are going to have a one year of internship in which you get a stipend of about 30,000 and invest Bengal stipend is maximum which is highest in any state The internship that you are undergoing is only occurring after completing the 4.5 years of MBBS and you are doing it under the government of West Bengal in the health department
