Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College (AKGEC) Ghaziabad is affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University. It was ranked as a Top 10 Private Engineering College in Delhi and NCR by Dataquest. CSE in both the colleges is offered as a 4 year full time course which deals with computer networking, programming and languages. Ques. Which college should I choose for CSE: BIET Jhansi, KNIT Sultanpur, MMM Gorakhpur or JSS Noida?

Ans. Among all the mentioned colleges, MMM Gorakhpur is the best. JSS Noida is a private college and all the other three colleges are government colleges. So, choosing a private UPTU college over a government college does not make sense.  Now, when you make a comparison between the other three government colleges i.e. BIET Jhansi, KNIT Sultanpur and MMM Gorakhpur, MMM Gorakhpur steals the show.  It is highly recommended because of the following reasons: Highly experienced faculty members Good and proper facilities The beautiful campus which is spread over 360 acres. Alumni of MMM Gorakhpur are in India as well as in other countries working at prestigious positions. The institution has been given the status of a university from a college and there are proposals for it to be promoted to an NIT or an IIT. It can be said that MMM Gorakhpur has a bright future. Ans. JSS Academy of Technical Education is better for a B.Tech. It has a good reputation among UPTU affiliated colleges. The campus is surrounded by IT companies, so you will get good exposure.  JSS Noida placements have been impressive over the years. The placement rate is around 70%. Companies like TCS, HCL, Infosys, Cognizant, etc. visit the campus drive. The average CTC stays around INR 5 LPA.Read more

Ques. What should I choose, IT in BIET Jhansi or CS in JSS Noida?

Ans. BIET Jhansi is a government college whereas JSS Noida is a private college. I have heard a lot about JSS Noida as my brother graduated from this college last year. JSS being a private college charges a higher amount than BIET. Both of the colleges are good enough to take admission but let’s compare it with a few factors. The infrastructure of BIET isn’t up to the mark whereas JSS Noida is well-maintained and has a beautiful campus that includes greenery as well. The hostel services and the premises of BIET are cheaper and aren’t well-furnished. As Jhansi is in Bundelkhand and it is a small city, BIET doesn’t provide good facilities because of its location. On the contrary, the students of JSS Noida have the access to prepare for any other competitive exams like CAT, UPSC, GATE, CSE, ESE, GMAT/GRE and many more. Noida is near Ghaziabad, which is the NCT of Delhi and many coaching institutes run in Ghaziabad. This fortunate opportunity isn’t available for the students of Jhansi. Categories IT at BIET Jhansi CS at JSS Noida Course Fee 2.89 lakh 2.20 lakh Highest CTC 12 LPA 8-10 LPA Average CTC 4.5 - 6 LPA 4 LPA Recruiting Companies TCS, Infosys, Wipro, HCL, etc. Amazon, Wipro, TCS, Hexaware, etc. Moreover, the facilities of JSS Noida are better than BIET Jhansi. Ques. Which college should I choose for CSE, IET Lucknow or JSS Noida? The fees are not an issue. Focus on environment, campus, hostel and what is taught in CSE.

Ans. I can give you some information on both institutes since I have friends from both IET Lucknow and JSS Noida. Based on the reviews that I got from my friends I will say choosing JSS Noida will be better. It has a locational advantage, which plays a crucial role. The curriculum of JSS Noida is in accordance with the current industry trends. In the first two semesters, you will learn the same courses as any other engineering institutes in India. You can get the detailed syllabus from the website. JSS has a good reputation in the industry. Alumni of the institute are working on Google, Microsoft, etc. Many reputed companies visit the campus for the placement drive including IBM, Wipro, TCS, Amazon, etc. For IET, the location is an issue. The faculty and curriculum are not that great either. So, I will suggest you choose JSS Noida.Read more
