  • Dalhousie University offers an MBA in Financial Services for a duration of 2 years.
  • It is blended programs that are a mix of online study blended with on-campus offered on a full-time basis.
  • It is also a research-based program consisting of a capstone course, held during the summer session.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

  • Students must hold a four-year bachelor’s degree recognized by Dalhousie University.
  • The minimum requirement is a B average (GPA 3.0 on a 4.3 scale).

Work Experience Eligibility:

  • Students must have at least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • In some exceptional cases, a minimum of 10 years of relevant management experience may be acceptable. 
  • Students having experience with spreadsheet software (such as Microsoft Excel) will help to apply for the program.

Others:

Students without related academic experience or work experience students are also encouraged to apply, given they have completed the following requirement:

  • If students apply without a degree, they will need to create a portfolio of the learning that they have achieved through formal education or training, workplace experience, or other activities.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they have completed a 4-year UG degree with an upper second class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.

Following are the required document:

  • Online application form and fees: Students have to fill the online form and submit the application fees. 
  • Resume: Outline of academic achievements and/or awards, publications, relevant work and/or volunteer experience.
  • Two Professional References: Referees (Teachers, guidance counselors, or Professors) should comment on academics and that references should submit along with the application system.
  • Personal Statement: It should include a brief overview of themselves, strengths, and any work experience and/or education that students have.
  • Transcripts: Students have to submit transcripts from all universities/colleges attended, World Education Services Assessments, and English Language Proficiency test scores.
  • Statement of Intent: Reasons or intentions for pursuing studies in this program, including a description of prior experience.
  • Confirmation of Employment Form:  Students must be emailed as an attachment by applicant or referee. 
  • Proof of name change: Required only if name discrepancies exist between transcripts/assessments/test scores and other application documents.  Examples of proof: Marriage/divorce certificates, 2 copies of government-issued ID that include a previous and current name and date of birth.
  • ELP Scores: Students have to submit their English language proficiency scores like IELTS, TOEFL, or other test scores.
