- NSCC provides practical knowledge rather than theory. It prepares you in a way that you will be capable of getting hired as soon as you graduate.
Overview
The college would be perfect for someone who is willing to work after completing a diploma And who only wants to study what is required workplace. Its not a very stressful course and there’s flexibility of how you want to take up your classes.
Campus Life
The infrastructure is one of the best in Dartmouth (Ivany campus). There’s a theatre and a gaming room, there’s also a library which is very helpful. For any gym freaks there’s a gym in the campus.
Overview
During my grade 12 year we get information given to us by different post secondary schools. I went to a different school (Cape Breton University) for almost five years after graduating highschool and realized I wanted to switch career paths. I decided to take this program at Nova Scotia Community College. I looked up on their website all about the school, the tuition, the courses I'd be taken within the program and realized this is what I want to do. I found out you could take this program fully online which then made me want to take it even more because now I could still work full time and go to school. With already having student loans from previous schools at CBU, I needed to continue to make money to pay for this program instead of loans. I had a high 90 average graduating grade 12 which was an absolute honor to be gifted with the awards I was at graduation.
Fees
They fee is structured into a Full-Time Tuition $3,415 and a Part-Time Tuition $452/unit. Most programs allow a part time / full time option which is great for students. I know they do offer scholarships for international students, I just don't know what every single one is called. I never looked into their scholarships. I also did required to have any loans for this program.
Overview
It is one of the best trade schools in the country with a high employment rate and the program I have been interested in has been offered in very few colleges across country and NSCC is one of those. It has very reasonable tuition fees. The admission process is quite straightforward and the faculty is very good. My friends, who graduated from this college recommended this and I had a great experience so far and hope to graduate with honours.
Fees
The application costs $75. I paid $11,020 as the tuition fee for my program. There are other charges also that includes International student fee, No-refundable tuition deposit cost, College service fee, student association fee, Nova Scotia health card charges, Health and dental plan, and a metro Transit U-Pass.
