Northern College at Pures vs Peer Colleges
The peer set below compares Northern College at Pures against other Toronto-area public-private partnership colleges that Indian applicants short-list.
| College | Collegedunia Study Abroad 2026 (Canada) | Annual PG Cert Fee (CAD) | Annual PG Cert Fee (INR lakh) | Differentiator |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Northern College at Pures | #109 | 15,716 to 17,898 | 10.81 to 12.31 lakh | Scarborough campus; strong PG certificate mix |
| Cambrian College at Hanson | NA | 15,500 to 17,500 (estimated) | 10.66 to 12.03 lakh | Downtown Toronto delivery of Cambrian programmes |
| Loyalist College in Toronto | NA | 16,000 to 18,500 (estimated) | 11.00 to 12.72 lakh | Toronto delivery of Loyalist media and IT programmes |
| Canadore College at Stanford | NA | 15,500 to 17,900 (estimated) | 10.66 to 12.31 lakh | Mississauga campus close to Toronto Pearson Airport |
| Fleming College at Toronto Business College | NA | 16,500 to 18,900 (estimated) | 11.35 to 13.00 lakh | Toronto delivery of Fleming graduate certificates |
Northern College at Pures stands out on lower Scarborough rent and a slightly wider PG certificate menu than direct peers. The Collegedunia Study Abroad Canada rank at #109 places it mid-pack across public-private partnership campuses.
Reality check: Fees look similar across all Toronto public-private partnership campuses. Choice should turn on programme fit and commute, not on rank position at the certificate tier.
Northern College at Pures suits Indian students who want a Toronto-area classroom, 1-year post-graduate certificate credentials and a total investment near INR 24 lakh for one year of tuition plus living. The Ontario diploma market median starting salary of CAD 45,000 gives a workable 2 to 3 year payback for cost-conscious families with a Post-Graduation Work Permit path confirmed with Canadian immigration.
The campus is not the right pick for students targeting a research university degree, world-university league table prestige or an Ivy-tier network. Applicants seeking a public standalone Toronto option should instead compare George Brown College or Seneca Polytechnic before finalising the offer.

Overview
I knew about this college because it is in my hometown. The application process was very simple, you just go on the Ontario colleges website, pay and pick your school and program. I got accepted the next day because I already had my transcript from highschool. I've always been a straight A student and continue to be that student in this college.
Fees
The standard tuition of a domestic student is about $6,000. For international scholarships I don't really have any information. I won a scholarship last year that was awarded to about 50 domestic students, I'm not sure what it was called but the amount was $500. The school recently put on a haunted trail in order to raise money for more scholarship.
