XAT 2027 and CAT 2026 are India’s two most important MBA entrance exams, and your choice depends on your target institutes, exam strengths and preferred test format.

XLRI Jamshedpur conducts XAT 2027 with registration open from July to November 2026 at xatonline.in. The exam is tentatively scheduled for the first Sunday of January 2027. CAT 2026 is conducted by the IIMs with registration from August to September 2026 and the exam tentatively on the last Sunday of November 2026. Both are computer-based tests but they differ significantly in structure, scoring and accepting institutes.

Ques. Can a student use CAT scores to apply to XLRI Jamshedpur?

Ans. No. XLRI Jamshedpur accepts only XAT scores for its MBA programmes. Students must appear for XAT 2027 to be eligible for XLRI admissions.
