Take a look at the most common mistakes before the section image below.
Do and don't for Lenz's law and induced-current direction.
Common Mistakes in Electromagnetic Induction
Mistake 1: Skipping the unit-balance step. CBSE markers give marks for showing dimensional consistency.
Mistake 2: Mixing up scalars and vectors. Add scalars directly, but add vectors as components.
Mistake 3: Forgetting the minus sign in Lenz's law. State the sign and the direction clearly.
Mistake 4: Putting in numbers too early. Keep the answer in symbols until the last step.
Each slip costs 1 to 2 marks.
How to Revise Class 12 Chapter 6 Electromagnetic Induction in 2 Hours
- 0 to 30 min: Magnetic flux and Faraday's law. Solve 2 numericals.
- 30 to 60 min: Lenz's law and motional EMF.
- 60 to 90 min: Self and mutual inductance block.
- 90 to 120 min: Run through the 8-formula table and the 5-derivation index.
