University of Arizona’s Music Programs introduces students to careers in the music industry such as arts management, arts journalism, and recording studio production. The curriculum integrates theory with hands-on practice.
Learning Outcome:
- Students will demonstrate an understanding of compositional processes and aesthetic properties of style, along with the ways these shape and are shaped by artistic and cultural forces.
- Students will demonstrate a familiarity and engagement with a wide selection of Western and non-Western musical literature
- Students will demonstrate knowledge, skills and/or performance ability as a solo and ensemble performer in one or more areas of music beyond basic musicianship
