University of Arizona Music Programs

University of Arizona’s Music Programs introduces students to careers in the music industry such as arts management, arts journalism, and recording studio production. The curriculum integrates theory with hands-on practice. 

Learning Outcome:

• Students will demonstrate an understanding of compositional processes and aesthetic properties of style, along with the ways these shape and are shaped by artistic and cultural forces.
• Students will demonstrate a familiarity and engagement with a wide selection of Western and non-Western musical literature
• Students will demonstrate knowledge, skills and/or performance ability as a solo and ensemble performer in one or more areas of music beyond basic musicianship
