The Energy Science Engineering(ESE) Department at Stanford University offers Graduate, Undergraduate, and Coterminal degree programs where students can develop a basic understanding of the science and its applications to practical problems, and/or create a foundation for an energy career.
The mission of these programs is to develop engineering science and educate the future leaders needed to transform global energy supply, production/conversion, storage, and use to achieve energy sustainability. We combine theory, experiment, and simulation to transform the global energy system to sustain the people and the planet.
In collaboration with the major advisor, you can develop your individual course of study. The curriculum is structured with a flexibility that allows you to explore energy topics of particular individual interest and to study abroad.
