  • Most of my classes were practical and required a lot of research to understand the concepts. I had a theory only in one class. I was pursuing an MS in Computer Science with Cloud Computing as my major. I was focusing more on AWS cloud, Network Security & Digital Forensics. These courses add a lot of value to your learning.
  • We had two classes per week in person and one class used to be online.
  • We always had 20 students in each class.
  • 90% of the class were Indian students and 10% were of various nationalities.

Fees

  • Fees:
    • $2500 per class/subject.
    • Each international student must undertake a minimum of 10 classes (30 credits) to qualify for a degree. Some may have to take more classes if they have no prior work experience or educational qualification in that particular field. If so, they have to take prerequisite courses.
    • $2500*10 = $25,000
    • Hostel—I have no idea since I stayed off campus.
    • Insurance = $750 per semester
    • Fees can be paid semester-wise, either in advance or through Nelnet EMI. However, enrolling in Nelnet EMI costs an additional $60 enrollment fee per semester.
    • Each semester, international students must enrol in a minimum of 3 classes; that is $7500 + $750 insurance.
  • Average Fee per month = $2062
  • Rent = $400-$2000 (depends on type and location of stay)
  • Food = $350-$800 (depends on how often we eat outside)
  • Car/Transport = $650-$800 (If purchased on EMI)
  • Insurance = $200
  • Fuel = $200
  • Mobile = $60
  • Estimated average based on midpoint will be around $5022 however it may vary based on several factors.
  • Most international students earn about $3000 per month; hence, they manage their stay and food at a lower price and also they often buy a used car to prevent monthly EMI.

  • The initial few subjects did feel somewhat easy, but in my third semester, it began to become increasingly challenging. The curricula of courses were much more on theoretical knowledge, with all the assignments requiring lots of independent problem-solving. Sadly, not too much practical stuff could be found, at least from my side, in those courses.

  • The most positive and negative aspects of the course varied by subject and depended on the instructors. Some courses were highly engaging and insightful, while others felt less impactful.

Fees

  • It has credit based fee system , 850 per semester

  • For an international student at Lewis University, the tuition fee is from $795 to $1,170 per credit hour, depending on the program, Room and board for on-campus housing is $7,700–$9,100 per semester, including meal plans. $200 per semester for student services and $1,000 annually for health insurance.

  • Monthly living expenses, including rent, utilities, transportation, and groceries, average $1,200–$1,800 for off-campus students.

It was fairly easy and down to earth. I felt that I was pretty well prepared for the real world afternoon I graduated from Lewis University. Some of the technology was a little dated, but I think a general education and major classes were good.

Fees

Tuition was owed at the beginning of each semester. You had to set up the payment in the front office building to make sure you are all set and let the loan companies and/or banks handle it from there.
