Social Studies at Illinois State University offers an Accelerated Master's Degree (AMD) sequence. This option gives high-achieving undergraduate students the opportunity to earn a master’s degree with only one year of additional study. The Department of History is the largest producer of History-Social Sciences teachers in the state and one of the largest in the country.  Professors have extensive teaching experience and use their knowledge to prepare the next generation of history teachers.
