The programs in School of Biological Sciences at Illinois State University are for students interested in many fields of science including Zoology, Animal Behavior, Botany, Ecology, Conservation Biology, Evolution, Physiology, Genetics, Microbiology, Developmental Biology, Cell Biology, Biotechnology, Parasitology, Neurobiology, and Immunology. School of Biological Sciences students have access to an entomology collection containing 24,000 specimens used by scientists around the world. The department has a collection of more than 6,000 birds and mammals and a greenhouse with a teaching collection of more than 660 species of flowering plants.
