I chose this particular program to learn the subject of Machine Learning and Data Science, as I was interested in data science as my career path. The admission process was very smooth. I like that we have internships offered here that allow us to gain hands-on experience on real-time projects. I appreciate the fact that you receive good support from faculty and staff to learn and publish research papers independently. I like the fact that you work with different people and gain skills likewise. My University requires a TOEFL-80 iBT (on the 0-120 scale)/IELTS minimum score of 6.5 overall band. I had applied to about 8 universities and got admission to 4. I had received offers from rutgers , Drexel, and uiuc I had rejects from nc state university, unc-chappel hill, UC riverside, missouri s&t I think I did not get accepted to some universities, as my research interest did not match with any of the faculties there and maybe the sop was not properly aligned I chose this university as the tuition and scholarship offered at this university were the best. I also got the lab of the professor I had wanted. The admission process was like sending all test scores gre and IELTS), university transcripts and letters of recommendation and the SOP to the admissions office and then they evaluated them and sent an offer. Applied to only one in US, which was University of Cincinnati (Admitted, unconditional) Other than this, I applied mainly to schools in UK (Surrey and Leicester). - accepted in both of them. I did receive a rejection from NUS (singapore) but that is probably because of low GPA as it is highly desirable to have a high GPA for NUS. In USA, overall profile is given more importance. Few reasons: 1) US has 2-year masters degree (UK has one). Only 2-year masters are accepted in India for public institutions. 2) US had better exposure in terms of industry. 3) More funding opportunities for MS and PhD students. 4) Neil Armstrong was the head of department in which I am a PhD Student. This was a driving factor in my decision. 5) Experience is smooth, the department is awesome. 6) GRE + TOEFL/IELTS is required for UC. (My GRE score for 321) I applied to fall intake since spring intakes are off-cycle and it can be difficult to plan courses. Admission process took around 3 months. I chose the USA because the opportunities here are more and the work culture here is good . UC has a co-op program where students get to do internships for a year throughout the course. This University is located in Cincinnati, OH. They have tie-ups with many local companies and provide referrals for many of them, and they have research opportunities in Taiwan and Africa where if you have a good GPA, you get selected, and that will count as one of the five co-ops you have to do. There are two main reasons I chose The University of Cincinnati. The first one is the co-op program that is offered by the college. I thought it was a great way to gain corporate exposure while still studying. The second major reason was the scholarship. As compared to all the other universities I got admitted into, this one offered the most significant amount which was a critical factor in making the decision. I was admitted to the Fall intake. I have applied to three universities namely University of Dayton, University of Cincinnati and Sacred Heart University.  I got offers from all the three universities listed above.  I haven't faced any rejections from any universities , I have got offer letters from all the three universities I have applied to. Out of all the three universities I felt University of Cincinnati would be the best one to choose because it has better campus life and better on campus part time opportunities compared to the other 2 universities I have applied to. I chose this university because of a better campus and infrastructure. Some of my friends were also in this college. The college has good campus life and it's a high prestige college.  Coming to the admission process of the university, I have applied to this university through the university of cincinnati application form available on its official website. Then I have submitted my LORS, my IELTS score which is 7 band and then the GRE score which was 315. The accepted threshold scores are 310 for GRE and 6.5 for IELTS. So, I got an offer letter from this university in the month of August. The overall admission experience was very smooth and I didn't face any difficulty. The university also issued the I20 after showing 45 lakhs bank loan statement.  I applied for the spring intake. I wasn't ready for the fall intake. I did not have a plan of going to the masters, I had taken this decision around march-arpil, So the time wasn't enough to apply for the fall. All universities I received confirmed admission.  Apart from other universities, this university offers a unique style of teaching methodology and also lot of opportunities in co-op as well as full-time opportunities. In my view, the strength of my application in co-curricular activities wasn't that good but I would say that my academic were excellent, and I had put in a lot of effort in my essays if I had a strong background in the curricular activities to support my academics, I might have gotten into the universities that I was rejected from. The major reason for me choosing the University of Cincinnati is because of its co-op program and the scholarship they gave me. I applied to the university through the Common App and was also exempted from the hundred-dollar fee because I think I applied early on, but there were no essays and the application was pretty straightforward. My SAT score was 1450 and I don't think there was an eligibility requirement for applying for this opportunity. I think that the university updates criteria often. My experience was quite smooth and easy, as I don't think I wrote any essays or anything that was very hard to apply to.
