Teaching and basic facilities, cleaness
Campus placements is good, and teachers are friendly
I like the course i had taken which is usefull for my future

Dislikes

We can't use cell phones in our college as per the rules
There are strict rules, about the timings

i choose this course because, it is easy it includes about commerce world which is very good for the future and for us also as it also includes financial status as you know bCom is one of the underated courses ever even though its underated it is very usefull for business

Likes

The college surrounding and the people there, I like some few teachera and sometimes envy some department teachers as well, the library is quite good but not upto the expectation, the building is huge and so many classes are available and the classes
I like the office, the coach its nice to sit there and chill and in some clasess they get cool air during the symmer season and the activities that we get here are nice and i enjoy a lot dyring this activities.

Dislikes

The college have very small auditorium, it can't fit in some department who have lots of students and they dont provide genertor for summer as it gets to hot and unbearable that we need fan and the lights are irregular

The give extra courses for our skill development and thats the reason that i likes it, in this extra courses we get certificate for our future help and there are different courses which e can choose by ourselves to our own preferen

Likes

The teacher's are super interactive. The teaching staff is really good, in the class as well as the labs.
The college sports department is good. If you have the skills, and determination to go to practice everyday, they will provide you will the best coaching and all the opportunities to play well.
The library. SJU has one of the biggest libraries seen in any other colleges. There are abundant resources available for any kind of course.

Dislikes

The distance. It's a little far away from my college, so the travel time is a lot.
Since I am a vegetarian, I did not like that the college has so many non vegetarian options (beef particularly).
Some department teachers are really not that good, but at the same time they sent notes, so i guess it's on us to study better.

Placement Experience:

From the last semester the students become eligible for placements, they are prepared before hand from the previous semester about this. My plans after getting the bachelor's degree is to pursue master's.

St Joseph's life with much sweet less bitter

They gives us good knowledge about the things other Than just an education
The campus infrastructure were all good and the placements are also good
They will make so many social programs in which you can engage. And almost there are equal number of boys and girls

Dislikes

They will not help much for the supplementary students
Some associations will get less amount for their events
In our time we didn't had much place to play sports. It have been developed now

Placement Experience:

In the final year we will be getting the placement opportunities. We have got plenty of companies even in the time of COVID. There were top companies like Accenture, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Amazon , deollite etc... There were packages from 3lakh to 15 lakh per annum. In our batch 30 people showed interest in placements and almost 50 percent of them were placed. Others joust went with double degree. I will do masters after this

An honest review of St. Joseph's University, Bengaluru.

Likes

The student body, it was very diverse and I was able to meet people from all over the country, especially people coming from different backgrounds and different social settings when compared to me.
The College has a very small and chic vibe to it, The campus is very small but it grows on you
The freedom. College is very relaxed about dress code except for certain members of the faculty, but overall in multiple aspects the college is much more lenient than most.

Dislikes

Attendance. Despite being a university they are still very strict on attendance and barely show any lenience to students.
Fests. Being an active committee member for college fests, we faced a lot of problems with the management, as they were very conservative in their choices,and despite the students putting in all the effort, they were not accomodating to the students.
The faculty, as is in every college, my college also has multiple faculty members with ego issues and those who are on a power trip. And some of them are very biased.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is not as in-depth or upto date as it is supposed to be. Also the curriculum does not have enough information, to get the students into top masters courses, so most students often have to take up other diplomas or certificates. The Physics course does not focus as much as it should on quantum physics or statistical physics or Astrophysics. Which are the core reasons why most students take up BSc. Physics. The course structure is also very obscene considering there are no more honours program. And there is also not enough focus on research. The lab work is often not upto mark and will always leave you feeling un satisfied. The curriculum is basically the CBSE syllabus but much more complex and higher level. The mathematics syllabus is actually very apt. And teaches all the necessary items. The Physics syllabus for the first year and second year is fine, but I'm 3rd year they do not emphasize on the important branches of physics.
