The Sri Guru Ram Das University of Health Science, in Amritsar, is a private state university declared on 19th August 2016 with reference to the ordinance no. 7/2016 under the Punjab Private University Policy 2010, established under Punjab Act no. 43 of 2016. Candidates who have passed regular Medical B.Sc (Microbiology) or MBBS or Nursing with a minimum of 50% from a recognized college/ institute.

SGRDUHS PG Selection Criteria

Candidates desirous of admission to MD and MS courses have to appear for the NEET-PG entrance exam and receive merit rank.
Candidates desirous of M.Sc. admission can be done on the basis of marks in the B.Sc or MBBS marks. They do not need an entrance exam.
Admission will be given until all seats are filled and cut off is attained.

Eligibility criteria is the NEET-UG exam +12 pass . After the result announced , the counselling process started online on the baba Farid website .. there are special reservations for Sikh minority including SC,STs, general category etc.. the cutoff is different for different categories.

I applied to other Punjab medical colleges. I couldn’t get admission in them coz of little low merit. I applied for the Sikh quota. Admission criteria was atleast 17 years old and atleast 50 percentile marks in neet exam. Admission process was a little hectic. It was summers and they kept us waiting in hot auditorium. They also did an extra Sikh quota checking.
