- Things that I like about Martin Luther Christian University (MLCU) is the relationship and bond that teachers and students share.
- The peace and harmonious environment of the university is the thing I like most about MLCU.
Dislikes
- Due to huge campus, you will have to walk a lot
Hostel Facilities:
I rented a pg run by a local owner at Labalang Shillong and I pay 6350 rupees per month. There is no admission fees and relaxation is given to the students without much pressure from the owner/warden. The owner provides bed, table, chair. However, the food menu is not upto our expectations. The standard of the menu is discouraging.
Likes
- I like the faculties. They are always ready to help us. Their teaching is also clear and understandable. I also like the Aurora and the Convocation the way it used to be hosted and organized.
- I also like the fact that there’s an active Student Council, Deans and Influencer which indeed makes the University more lively and interesting.
Dislikes
- Honestly, I would like if the University has more open campus.
- That there is two campus. No grab and Umsauli. We did it get to see and know each other as we are in different campus.
Hostel Facilities:
In my hostel, there's a Wifi in which we pay 200 per month for it. Meal is provided twice in a day, Morning and evening. We have meat twice in a week that was fine. And about the registration process, as for me, I saw the link in the University website and contact the given number and went to the particular place for admission. The hostel fees is 5500/- per month excluding Wi-Fi. It is located in Nongrim Hills near Mizo Modern School.
Likes
- I liked the way of teaching with no exams based because it’s not only about learning by heart but to actually learn.
- We have more combined classes which is good because we could interact with different departments.
Dislikes
- Too much assignments and test at once which can be quite pressuring
Campus Life:
The best part of this university is that there are so many departments and they all have different kinds of festivals of activities. And there would always be a program of gaming activities now and then every semester which also includes outside people
Likes
- The course that I have chosen. It is different from the rest and it has made a good impression for my future.
- The availability of libraries, canteens, lounge for students to visit and work is another aspect that I liked.
Dislikes
- The routine or schedule of classes is an area to work on
Campus Life:
As a student, I would say that the campus life here is really fun with a yearly varsity week where we can enjoy and relax and also interact with the whole campus. Each department would have clubs in which each student could potentially participate and display their talents.

- People are good here and friendly to each other.
- The campus has almost all the department.
Dislikes
- Some department look down on each others department.
- The campus has no proper to seat around .
Campus Life:
We have Arora week of the university and cultural day , pre- christmas events etc. Books in the library is less . The facilities and technology in classroom is okay yet need litter more improvement. Yes we have sports week. And we do run social groups and clubs.

Campus Life:
My campus life experience was vibrant and enriching, with a strong emphasis on both academic excellence and social engagement.The infrastructure provided was modern and well-maintained, offering state-of-the-art facilities for studying, research, and recreation.Overall, campus life fostered a sense of community and belonging, allowing me to form lasting friendships and grow both personally and professionally.Good facilities and technology provide in the classroom.
Likes
- The course papers available for the students.
- The campus life. The faculty have pretty much made the environment as such that the students and faculty have a very good relationship with each other.
Dislikes
- The infrastructure. Sometimes when the entire university students have to gather the campus becomes a little too suffocating due to the lack of space and accommodation.
- Due to covid situation, my batch could not really get to experience the external life of the university which can be seen as a set back in our relationship of students-student life.
Hostel Facilities:
There is no university-attached hostel. Although there are multiple hostels and PGs available in and around the campus. The available hostel accommodation is as well known for their high-quality accommodation and easy access to the campus.
Hostel Facilities:
At an affordable cost of ?68,400 per year, a girl student can avail the hostel facility and a boy can avail the boys hostel facility at ?60,000 per year. Students prefer the college hostel facility over any other accommodation options.
Campus Life:
There are many extracurricular activities in the college only as there is no intra college activities. The college only conduct these activities within the college like cultural events, sports events, different competitions, etc.
Campus Life:
The college had a very good environment and peaceful atmosphere. We had many events that included annual day, sports day, graduation day etc. They were also frequently held workshops and seminars on campus.
