Is Assam Womens University open to male candidates?

No. AWU is a women-only university. Only female candidates are eligible for admission to any programme, including BPT, PG, Integrated PG, and PGDCA.

What is AWUET and which programmes require it?

AWUET (Assam Womens University Entrance Test) is the universitys own entrance examination held at the Kaliapani, Teok campus. All 16 two-year PG programmes and BPT require AWUET-2026, scheduled for July 12, 2026. Five-year Integrated PG programmes and PGDCA do not require AWUET.

Is CUET (PG) accepted for PG admission at AWU?

Yes. AWU accepts CUET (PG) 2026 scores for its two-year PG programmes as an alternative to AWUET. Candidates must upload the CUET (PG) scorecard through the AWU online admission portal at admission.awu.ac.in.

What is the application fee for Assam Womens University?

Yes. Students awaiting their final graduation result may apply and take admission provisionally. They must submit their final marksheet showing the required minimum percentage by October 30, 2026. Failure to meet the eligibility marks by that date results in cancellation of admission.
