Ques. Is the Mahatma Gandhi Central University campus life good for students coming from outside Bihar?
Ans. Honestly, I was also confused before joining, but campus life is not bad at all. The hostel is simple but safe, and students from many states stay here, so you don’t feel alone. Teachers are friendly and help with studies. It’s not a super modern campus, but daily life is easy, and you adjust in a few weeks.
Ques. Does MGCU have good internet and library facilities?
Ans. The library is actually pretty good, with many books and a silent reading space. Wi-Fi works okay, not super fast, but enough for classes, YouTube lectures and notes download. Sometimes the network is slow in the hostel during the evening, but overall manageable. Most students also use their own data. For study purposes, the facilities are fine for daily use.
Ques. How difficult is CUET admission for MGCU courses?
Ans. It’s not too hard for many courses because cutoffs stay moderate. If your CUET score is average but near the cutoff range, you still have a chance in later rounds. For B.Tech. and MBA also competition is not as extreme as in big central universities. If you prepare basic NCERT and past papers, entering MGCU is possible.
Ques. What about placement support for normal courses like BA, B.Sc?
Ans. Placement is okay mainly for MBA and a few technical courses, but for BA or B.Sc, you shouldn’t expect big packages. The university gives guidance, internships and workshops, but companies prefer professional programs. Many students prepare for government exams or higher studies. It’s good for learning, but placement is not super strong for all courses.
Ques. Is MGCU safe for girls and first-year students?
Ans. Yes, the campus feels safe most of the time. Security guards stay around, and hostels have strict entry rules. Seniors are also helpful, not too much ragging or anything. Evening time on campus is calm and not crowded. If you follow normal rules and stay in the hostel, there is no big issue for girls or freshers.
