PJTSAU Course Admission 2025: Dates, Fees, Eligibility, Application Process, Selection Criteria

The university offers B.Tech and B.Sc course in various specializations at the undergraduate level. Admission to all UG courses (except B.Sc. Home Science) is based on the performance in state-level common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET) conducted by Telangana State Council of Higher Education.

University also conducts AGRIENGGCET for B.Tech Agriculture Engineering and AGRICET for B.Sc in Agriculture for the admission of diploma holders in respective courses.

Candidates seeking admission to the UG courses at PJSTAU need to fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria i.e. a pass in 10+2 examination from a recognized university. 

Candidates seeking admission to B.Tech, B.Sc courses can apply online through the official website of the PJTSAU. Upon primary registration on the official website of PJTSAU, candidates need to apply for the TS-EAMCET examination via the respective portal.

Key Points:

• The upper age limit (22 years) is relaxed in certain situations. It is 25 years for SC/ST candidates and 27 years for students with physical disabilities.
• In the case of a tie in ranks obtained by two or more candidates in the EAMCET, the marks secured in the optional subjects of the qualifying examination will be taken into consideration.
• In the case of a further tie, the age of the candidate will be taken into consideration.
• The eligible candidates will be required to attend the counseling process depending on their individual merit as determined by the rank obtained in the TS-EAMCET.
• 40% of the seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the families of Agriculturists (Farmers) owning not less than 3 acres of land either in the name of the parents or in the name of the student and who have studied for a minimum of 4 years in schools located in the Non-Municipal areas
• Reservation of seats for Women: In each course, 33% of the seats will be reserved in favour of women students from each category.

PJTSAU offers multiple postgraduate courses such as M.Tech, MBA and M.Sc in several disciplines. For admission to PG courses offered by the university, candidates should have passed the relevant Bachelors Degree examination. Only the candidates who have appeared for ICAR entrance examination are eligible for admission to PJTSAU. The upper age limit to apply for the course is 40 years as on July 1 of the year of admission.

Selection of candidates for M.Sc/ M.Tech shall be done on the basis of their previous academic record at Under Graduate level (30% weightage) and performance in the entrance test (70% weightage) conducted by ICAR through AIEEA PG. In case of MBA Agri-Business Management, the selection shall be based on the performance in entrance test, conducted by ICAR through AIEEA PG.

In the case of MBA (Agri. Business Management) course, 10% seats are reserved for NRIs / Industry Sponsored Candidates.

PJTSAU offers Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in various specializations at the research level. Selection of candidates to Ph.D is done on the basis of score obtained by a candidate in the entrance test conducted by ICAR. For admission to Ph.d course, the candidate should have completed Master of Science or an equivalent examination in Agriculture or Home Science or Agricultural Engineering as the case may be, in the concerned field of specialisation with atleast 50% marks in the aggregate.

The selection shall be based on the previous academic record at post graduate/under graduate level and performance test conducted by ICAR through AICE-JRF/SRF(PGS) and the weightage would be in the ratio of 60:30:10 (60% Entrance Marks, 30% M.Sc Marks and 10% B.Sc. Marks).

Note: 15%, 6% and 29% of the seats in each Faculty are reserved for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes respectively.
