Likes

Students are eligible for placements from the 7th semester and there are a vast number of companies that visit this college every year and the placement rate is pretty good.
Nice faculty and they also conduct various hackathons , events etc
Life at gitam is best we have fun activities and clubs which are pretty active and engaging.

Dislikes

But after few months students will get irritated
A bit disappointed when comes to events because may i expected alot but didn't reach upto the mark
I dont like the stray dogs present in the college

Gitam Hyderabad detailed review

Likes

College infrastructure is very good and gitam hospitality is good
Gitam encourages students in various aspects so that we can choose our owm path
Professors are good and friendly with the students

Dislikes

Hostel food is not that good though they maintain hygiene taste will be disappointing
The college is too far to the city transportation from here to city is not available all the time

Since this is a private university the syllabus will be upto date so that it will helpful to the students while entering into the real world and it will be helpful to answer in the interview so academic wise this university is good

GITAM general experience and expectations

Likes

Organisation of events such as hackathons, dance programs, and teach talks
Air conditioned class rooms with sound proofing walss and incorporation of technology such as projectors and speakers in classroom environment
Existence of a Venture Development Center tha encourages student to participate in entrepreneurial activities and get insights into industries

Dislikes

Campus to too big to navigate to different classrooms across different blocks
Confusing geometry of the building that makes it more difficult to navigate to classrooms

Course Curriculum Overview:

The resources provided by gitam library is enough to cover most of the syllabus. Apart from that I can also utilise the teachers notes and can also refer to third part material such as YouTube, research articles and other text books. The syllabus is well updated and I believe is pretty helpful to the students.

GITAM Quality Of Life

Likes

College environment is really good. Faculty don’t pressurise you.
You have the freedom to do your own things, from course registration to faculty selection
The food facility is really good here, there are different canteens and cafe

Dislikes

College starts a little early, it starts around 8 am

Placement Experience:

There are both internship and campus placements options. The college conducts a training course every semester for campus placement exam where they teach you each topic that would come in an placement exam

Infrastructure and the way lectures help students in their placements and friendly teachers and staff
easy evaluation and labs are good and 5 days a week college
sports and extra curricular activities are good and events and fests are awesome

Dislikes

placement training and bringing more non IT companies for placements

Placement Experience:

Generally the placements in our college is good. It provides Average salarly upto 450000 per annum. But this time the placement percentage is decreased due to recession and more Non IT companies are brought rather than IT for placements which i did not like . But if you take the course seriously the college will definetly provide a good placement for you

Likes

Infrastructure is superb,Faculties are professionally trained
Canteen is spacious,hygenic food is provided in canteen with reasonable prices

Students for elgible for placements at the ending time 3 year of B-Tech.Google, capegemini, infotech. amazon ,oracle, etc...highest is 50 lakhs average will be 7 lakhs per anum90%of passed students will get placements

The college infrastructure and the way its located in the middle of nature
Good classrooms and faculties who tend to students
Great food and alot of free time to work on projects and skills

Dislikes

Located very far away and is very tiresome to get up early everyday

Placement Experience:

The placements in college post covid have been a little rroublesome as most students plan on moving abroad once they finish their UG and do the further studies but for the ones that want to work there are good companies that come and tend to the students and recruite them with an average salary if 5-8 lakhs per annum. I plan on moving abroad and doing my masters there

Life at GITAM

Likes

The atmosphere of the college good for computer science background
Our campus is also very good not so big not so small. But looks like healthy campus
The faculties are too good most of them are from IITs or from foreign universities

Dislikes

Our campus is too far from the city so have to face transportation issues
First year computer labs are too old now

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester students are eligible for campus placement . Many companies visit our company like deloitte , amazon , dell , techmahindra. Highest package was 20lpa and average pacakge was around 5lpa. 90% of students get placed. My plans after degree are pursuing master and want to go in research field .

My first year review for GITAM Hyderabad.

Likes

The best part about GITAM is that there are students from all over india and even abroad. This provides a very varied atmosphere
Secondly the infrastructure is very good. There are different blocks for each department and the classrooms are equipped with airconditioners.
All the faculties are highly qualified and are always available to help the students.

Dislikes

The location of our college campus is at a far distance from the city which makes it difficult for the commuting students.
The sports facilities are not well maintained and even the canteens are unhygienic.

Placement Experience:

Keeping in mind the fees being taken from the students, the placement of the college is below par. On the internet it was shown that the average placement is about 6 to 7 LPA. But when we discussed with our seniors, we came to know that the college placement and rates has gone down.

My Review of GITAM, Hyderabad

Likes

The campus life is pretty good. The campus is green and well maintained and well equipped as compared to other private colleges in the city.
The faculty are good with having good understanding of subjects. They are helpful and cooperative.
College hosts regular events, tournaments, hackathons to keep up student interaction and co curriculum development

Dislikes

The price of food items is canteens is a bit high.
The hostel rooms are very average keeping in mind what they charge for it.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from 7th semester as far as I know. As I'm in first year i don't have much knowledge on placements so I can't comment on it. My plans after getting a degree is to get a good yielding job or going abroad for higher studies
