04 Nov, 2025 NIRF Ranking 2025 has been released on September 4, 2025. IIT Tirupati secured the following positions:

#151-200 out of 200 under “Overall Category”

#57 out of 300 colleges under “Engineering Category”

IIT Tirupati is an autonomous technical university funded by Indian Govt. The college was ranked 59th in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranking for engineering institutes in India in 2023. This was a slight improvement from its rank of 60th in 2022. IIT Tirupati has been steadily improving its ranking in recent years and is expected to continue to do so in the future.

Likes

Peaceful environment, Scenic View and High cleanliness maintained
Free bus service available to students from their hostels to academic building
All festivals celebration with high enthusiasm

Dislikes

Less diversity, people doesn't represent from all over India
No food choices available, there are only few stalls and that too selling basic things.
Biasness towards MPP female students. While boys are getting single sharing room, MPP female students are made to stay in four sharing rooms.

Our course has 100% internship record. Facuty help every student getting into their desired internships and field by providing all help such as referalls or by bringing the target institutions. More effort is on the students part as we need to maintain strong connections with industry people and apply as much we can.

Excellence of IIT-Tirupati

Likes

I like the environment where it was built which offer good feel
I like the infrastructure of the college
I like the well equipped instruments provided during lab sessions

Dislikes

Hostel management, still gets developing
Altitude of college as it contain ups and downs which make difficult to ride a bicycle
Need a completely developed campus, to get good comfortable with in

From 7th semester students are eligible for campus placements Highest package we reveived this year 45 LPA from IT job category Average package for Civil Engineering is about 9LPA Students are mostly preferring to go for M-Tech in IIT madras or making their career towards MBA

Dislikes

Infrastructure because we need one more sports complex and one auditorium and one swimming pool

Internships Opportunities:

There are many internship opportunities available in iit tirupati.you can avail that' at end of third year and fourth year and internships amount is quite decent where you can easily get around 5-10k on a month

An In-depth review of IIT Tirupati

Likes

Clubs and extracurriculars, sports facilities
Campus environment during winters is good.
Some faculty are very helpful and friendly.

Dislikes

Placement and internship drives are not up to the mark
College community and culture is sometimes toxic
Very limited alumni networking is there.

Internships Opportunities:

Internship opportunities are not very good in our college. Companies like Sprinkler and BNY Melon did come along with some other companies. I am currently doing an Internship at Bluj Aerospace. I think the stipend details for these companies cannot be disclosed, but the information about companies can also be found on the college website.

IIT Tirupati : An education Paradise

Likes

IIT Tirupati boasts excellent placement services with a high percentage of students securing jobs in reputed companies.
The placement cell offers excellent support for career advancement, including resume-building workshops, mock interviews
The professors at IIT Tirupati are highly knowledgeable and bring a wealth of experience to their teaching.

Dislikes

The administrative processes can sometimes be slow and cumbersome, leading to delays and frustrations in getting things done.
Although the campus facilities are generally good, some areas still need improvement.

Internships Opportunities:

Companies offer internship opportunites Sprinkler offered 2L internship this year it is the highest. Some got in Amazon, goolge, TCS Companies offer for various roles like SDE, Frontend, Backend, ML, AI, Product engineer etc..

Less restrictions: There is no such thing as intime and out time for hostels. If the students are responsible enough, this rule is a big plus when it comes to studying purposes.
Supportive faculty: The faculty are very friendly and are available for discussions. Their knowledge in the subjects is very deep.

Dislikes

Mess food: The quality of the food being served is never good.

Internships Opportunities:

Oncampus recruitment process for internships starts from 5th semester. For civil students, there are a good number of companies like L&T, NHAI coming for internships. If any student is interested in persuing a non core internship, the department is very welcoming and gives permission.

Infrastructure, greenery, how large our campus is
Faculty, campus life i can say is okay ~ good
Fests are smthng to enjoy but not much has happened

Dislikes

Caterer selection should have been way better

Internships Opportunities:

As I have said already. I am still a under graduate student. Still in first year. I have not yet graduated. So I don't have any internship experience. Nor i have applied for one. So I have to skip this one.

Likes

The campus is very pleasant in between mountains it is a good location for peaceful mind and concentration
All the faculty are well educated who have done there higher studies from IIT
The placements are also good for all core and non core branches

Dislikes

Since it is a new IIT there is still much construction going on
The mess food quality can be further improved
The practical labs could be more rather than theory

Internships Opportunities:

There are companies like Tesla have offered internships to female students for non core based branches professors encourage us to work on the new technologies that have scope in the real world and help us in conducting projects on the same

I liked the campus enviornment friends faculty
I liked the sports clubs and Tirutsava fest
I liked the campus buildings and accomodation in hostel

Dislikes

I don't like mess food it's quality is not good
We should sweep our own rooms no one will come and help us for sweeping

Internships Opportunities:

Still now we got sprinkler It hired one person and we didn't get more companies after that.So we are planning to do internship under our professors without stipend.We have done web development projects and machine learning projects
