Chhattisgarh Kamdhenu Vishwavidyalaya (CGKV) was established by the Governor of Chhattisgarh State dated 11th April, 2012 with promulgation of the Chhattisgarh Kamdhenu Vishwavidyalaya Act, 2011.

The University offers a number of UG, PG and Ph.D.courses in the field of Veterinary and Animal Sciences to facilitate an integrated approach for all round development of livestock, poultry and fisheries through imparting quality education, intense research and development for sustainable productivity to augment and garner a dynamic livestock economy for the state.
Reservation policy is applicable for SC, ST, OBC, female, physically handicapped, freedom fighter and other category candidates as per Chhattisgarh Government Rules in admissions in UG, PG and Doctoral programmes
The university offers Bachelor degree in Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.), Bachelor in Technology (B.Tech) in Dairy Science and Food Technology, and Bachelor in Fisheries Science (B.F.Sc). These programmes are designed to equip graduates with the knowledge and skills essential to a career in the field of agricultural science.

The University offers Postgraduate programmes to the students aspiring for higher studies in the field of Veterinary and Animal Sciences. The Postgraduate programmes leading to Master of Veterinary Science (M.V.Sc.) and Master of Technology (M.Tech.) degrees are offered under 15 and 4 different specializations respectively.

The University also provides doctoral programmes to the research aspirants in the field of Veterinary, Dairy Science and Food Technology.

For admission to this college, we have to give the entrance exam PAT after the exam counselling process is done for admission. According to the merit list admission is done. On the basis of the CGVAPYAM PAT exam. Application is free
To get admission in this college go to the kamdhenu university website and fill up the admission form and print chalan and pay chalan fee. After that your merit made and on the basis of your state education board and Jee result your merit make. Only A Group(maths or both maths and biology) science student can apply.
Admission by joint entrance test (JET). Admission in college by two ways first is joint entrance test rajasthan (Rajasthan JET) and other is payment seats. There is 55 seats alloted by JET score and 20 payment seat alloted by 12th percentage. Payment sets fees is almost double.
The College is the only Institute of its kind in Chhattisgarh. It has an average infrastructure and the campus is small in size. There are many few colleges in-country offering b.tech in dairy technology, the admission process is very simple and also the fees is very cheap as compared to any other colleges, the professors are well qualified and they provide overall a good environment for study.
In order to secure admission in this course of this college, a student should have scored 50% in 10+2 having subject physics, chemistry maths and english. Reservation is made state students, while other state students are allowed admission via merit basis that is derived through All India Common Pre Veterinary Test.
A student needs to qualify his higher secondary exam with physics, chemistry, maths and english as his main subjects with an aggregate of 50%. There is reservation too for different categories, with state candidates filling most of the seats while 15% seats being filled on merit basis by marks secured in entrance examination conducted.
I got admitted in this college thought JOINT ENTERANCE TEST which is conducted by ICAR. In food technology, various techniques regarding the processing, manufacturing and packaging of food products is practiced.I was fond of food industries because in my childhood i watch a tv show named food factory which was telecast on discovery channel.From here i developed intrest in processing and packaging of food products.The scope of this field is very large as food is the basic requirement of every human whether a male or a female,rich or poor, child or adult everyone,so it has a very wide scope.
This course has wide scope in upcoming time as an allied field of Agriculture. This field concerns with the technology of all food and dairy products which you come across in your daily lives. I gave JET examination which is conducted by Rajasthan govt. Agriculture universities only and the merit list is prepared on the basis of marks gained.
I got admission in this college through Merit list.After 12th you can get admission here through entrance exam (JET and ICAR) and you can also get admission on the basis of 12th Merit.Non-medical(Math) is compulsory in Senior secondary to get admission here.
I got thé entry through my friend I admitted on 7/8/2019 its à différent degree than usual in engineering field which impressed and attracted me moreover my collège that is collège of Dairy science and food technology collège is in my City Raipur which made it easy to pursue
