Netaji Subhas Open University (NSOU) offers distance education at undergraduate as well as postgraduate levels in various disciplines. The specialisations which the university provides cover the field of Science, Commerce, Arts etc. The application process starts in the month of July every year. The candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria before applying for the courses in the university. The candidates can download the application form online on the official website of NSOU.

For Bachelor Degree Programs (BDP), candidates should have passed 10+2 examination from a recognized board of education.
The minimum required eligibility for B.Lib.I.Sc is the candidates should possess graduate degree with minimum 40% marks.
In case of PG admission, candidates must have passed graduate degree in the relevant discipline.
Admission for all the UG and PG courses (except B.Spl.Ed.) is given on first cum first serve basis.
For admission to B.Spl.Ed, candidate should possess Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Science, Social Science or Humanities with min. 50% marks.

NSOU UG Admission 2024

At the undergraduate level, Netaji Subhas Open University (NSOU) offers BA and B.Sc under multiple specializations. In addition to it, the university also offers B.Com. course. The minimum required eligibility for admission to UG courses offered by the university is candidates should have passed 10+2 examination from a recognized board of education. The selection under all the bachelor’s program will be done on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate at the intermediate level.

KEY POINTS TO NOTE

An applicant can only apply to one of the bachelor’s programmes.

The fee needs to pay the fees at any branch of Allahabad Bank using the pre-printed challan collected at the time of online submission.
The candidates are advised to take the photocopy of their admission form signed and stamped by the person attending their Study center and submit all the necessary documents, photographs and copy of challan obtained from the bank.
The students who have BPP or vocational background can directly buy the prospectus of INR 150 from study centres.

NSOU PG Admissions 2024

NSOU offers PG programs – MA, M.Com., M.Sc., and M.Lib.I.Sc.in different disciplines. The minimum eligibility for any of the post graduate courses is a graduation degree in the relevant stream. The selection will be done on the basis of merit. The application fee needs to be paid by the candidates at any branch of Allahabad Bank.

NSOU Application Procedure 2024

For Bachelor’s Degree Programme

Click on the official website of the university.
Click on the application form link.
Fill all the details correctly and make the application fee submission.
The registration fees can be paid in the online payment mode or in the form of bank challan.
The candidate can obtain the bank challan or make the payment online after submitting the application form on the official site.

For Certificate and PG Diploma programs

Visit the study centre.
Check the eligibility criteria for the course the candidate has to apply for.
After the eligibility confirmation, visit a nationalised bank and got a demand draft made in favour of Netaji Subhas Open University payable at Kolkata, of the amount INR 900.
Again visit the same study centre talking along all the photocopies of the necessary documents and one passport size photograph.
Submit the Demand Draft to the study centre after writing your name, phone number on the back side of the demand draft.
After the candidate will submit the DD, he/ she will receive an “ Application for Student Enrollment Form (B& W)”.
Fill that form and submit it along with the self attested copies of the necessary documents and the passport size photograph.
After submitting all this, candidate’s enrolment certificare will be generated.
So, the candidate has to submit all the following documents:

Filled in “application for student Enrolment Form”.
Self attested photocopies of necessary documents.
Demand draft of the prescribed amount.

Note: The candidate has to also keep one photocopy of Demand Draft and enrolment form duly stamped and signed by the person who will be attending him/her at the centre as this document will serve as a proof of submission.

I have also applied in college like Calcutta university and presidency university of Kolkata but i couldn't study there due to non available seats in open distance learning. The admission process in NSOU is simple you have to score minimum 60 percentage in your 12th exam to enlisted for screening and 100seats were filled up out of those according to merit base. The exams were moderate and easily be cracked for the admission. After selection they call you for the registration and admission fee should also be submitted then.
