- Additionally, the institution recognizes the importance of supporting students financially and offers various avenues for scholarships, financial assistance, and campus employment opportunities.
- Faculties are highly experienced with great knowledge and some of them have good teaching and mentorship style.
- The classes are also very nice, the library is beautiful, well organized and peaceful.
Dislikes
- We get information about scholarships, they are not interested in giving scholarships to poor students like us.
- I disliked the lack of facilities in college sports, or music room facilities gym and all and mess is also not good
- There is one almirah and one table and one bed provided in the hostel but the mess is really not good which was a problem in every college.

Placement Experience:
The placements at this college are really good. This year the highest package goes up to 57 LPA. The cse branch placement is 95% and ece branch placement is 94.69%. Many companies like Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Samsung, Qualcomm, etc visited the campus.

The placements of my colleagues have been pretty good.
Most famous companies visit the college.
The highest package has been 50LPA+ for CS/IT branches and the average package has been near 8LPA+
I got placement from the college itself.

Students are eligible for placements here after the 6th semester.
The highest package offered here is 33LPA while the average package is about 11LPA.
About 72% of the students get placements here.

Entrance Preview:
For entrance, I gave JEE Mains and its score was considered for admission. After clearing JEE Mains, I got this college in counseling and visited it for my document verification. The admission process was quick and after showing all my academic transcripts, identity proof, and financial documents, I paid the fee for first semester.

Placement Experience:
The college placement rate is excellent. The CSE program at the college has a strong placement rate. The college placement committee is quite competent, and each member of the committee appropriately guides us through the placement round, ensuring that every student who participates is placed. Our batch's maximum package was 29 LPA, while the average package was roughly 9.50 LPA. For the placement drive, firms such as Wipro, TCS, IBM, Amazon, Axis Bank, Microsoft, Capgemini, Bajaj Auto, Larsen & Toubro, Cognizant, and others came to our campus.

Placement Experience:
The placement of our college is pretty good this year .Till 7th semester more than 70% are placed with an average package of 11.46 lacs and more than 500 student are placed.About 13-14% have opted for higher education .Well from this year onwards a new placement policy is created where you can sit for companies of 12.5 lacs ctc or psu if your department placement is more than 75%.Till now cse placement is 95%,ece 85% ,ee 80%
mechanical and chemical is 75% ,metallurgy and civil is more than 50% and biotehnology is 35%..This year highest placement is 46 lacs grabbed by19 students .About 11% students in college got more than 20+ CTC and 15% 10-15 LPA CTC.They were total 570 offers made this year until now.

In college, there were plenty of chances for getting placement from the University. In the last semester every one was eligible for the placement , as employers begin to come to college for recruiting continue to visit throughout the year. Companies that come for recruiting include Microsoft, Adobe, Accenture, PWC, Tata Metals, Deloitte, and others. The biggest package given of 30 LPA.

From the last semester campus placement starts.google, Amazon, Microsoft etc also visited our college and more than 70 % students are placed
The highest pakage offered was 44lpa. ans the average package was 8.5lpa.
I would try to make my space in the core companies according to my ability.

Placement Experience:
As I had a little idea about the placement system of the University which was offered at an extension of 80% in the University on the campus. This record is always good as a member of the University. The average package was around 11 lakh per annum. Though I wanted to get a job in an IT firm so I got an opportunity in front of the TCS and Wipro.

Here is a detailed review shared by my brother who completed his graduation from NIT Durgapur
- Infrastructure: Honestly, the infrastructure isn’t all that great but will provide all the basic amenities necessary for a good academic environment.
- Faculty: Most students have to resort to self-study because the professors are not very passionate about teaching. However, if you do good projects under a professor, you may be able to pursue a master's in a foreign university.
- Placements: NIT Durgapur has recorded excellent placements. This year the highest CTC offered was INR 70 LPA while the average salary offered was INR 13.64 LPA. The top recruiters included TCS Ninja, PwC, ICICI Bank, Microsoft, and many others. More than 100 recruiters participated in the placement drive and 633 students were placed.
- Opportunities: The NIT tag will open a number of opportunities for you and the alumni network is also quite extensive. You can also avail opportunities like workshops and clubs.
- Campus life: The campus life is very active with many fun-filled events like the freshers' farewell party and celebration of regional festivals. Additionally, a number of cultural and technical fests are also held.
- Administration : The administration is very slow and is not cooperative. You might face some issues.
- Location : NIT Durgapur faces no major connectivity issues. The railway station is 30 mins or 14 km away while the nearest airport is at Andal, which isn't well connected, so Kolkata Airport will be a better option. You can find the Auto rickshaw stand just at the main gate.
Overall, NIT Durgapur is a great place if you are unable to make it to IITs.
