- Additionally, the institution recognizes the importance of supporting students financially and offers various avenues for scholarships, financial assistance, and campus employment opportunities.
- Faculties are highly experienced with great knowledge and some of them have good teaching and mentorship style.
- The classes are also very nice, the library is beautiful, well organized and peaceful.
Dislikes
- We get information about scholarships, they are not interested in giving scholarships to poor students like us.
- I disliked the lack of facilities in college sports, or music room facilities gym and all and mess is also not good
- There is one almirah and one table and one bed provided in the hostel but the mess is really not good which was a problem in every college.

Course Curriculum Overview:
Nit dgp is known for its ROYAL Mechanical branch. It's one of the oldest branches. A curriculum includes a wide variety of range from Reynolds numbers to gear design there's a good student-to-faculty ratio. Professors are mostly students of the colleges they are fantastic in their teaching. talking of there teaching methods they use.. the old chalk and green board. When needed the digital board is also available. There are 3 exams in a sem(15+25+60). Studying one week before an exam is sufficient to get good marks.

After 7 th semester the students can get placement opportunities here. The lowest package starts here at 6 lakhs per annum.
Many companies visited here and gave placement opportunities to the students.
About 90 per cent of the students get placed each year.

- Fully Functioned AC classroom with WIFI facility
- Well equipped room with ample amount of light and air with wifi facility
- Most of the teachers are very helpful and they are very concerned about our safety and well being.

- The college authority neglects the sports equipment quality and they dont maintain fields here.
Placement Experience:
From the start of 3rd sem, students are eligible for on-campus internships and from 4th sem, students are eligible for campus placements. Microsoft, Wells Fargo, JPMC, PWC, IBM, MathWorks, TCS, IDFC Bank, HDFC Bank and many many more companies come for campus placements. The highest package is offered 57 lpa and the average package is 16lpa or above. Most companies hire for the role SDE, Product Manager, Data Analyst, Bank Manager etc. roles. Almost 90 percent of the students are placed by on-campus placement drive.

- The faculties are really good and helpful over here.
- The club culture and fests are good in this college. The campus life is also good as the restrictions are lighter from 2nd year onwards.
- The diverseness in the campus as it has students from all over India.

- Small campus size compared to other NITs / IITs.
Placement Experience:
The students become eligible for placements from 3RD year only. The companies start coming from around August to hire. Major companies such as Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, JP Morgan, Texas Instruments, and L&T along with some Psus such as iocl, bhel etc come for recruitment over here. Last year there were more than 600 offers made. The highest package was 70 lpa on campus and the average package was 13.64 lpa. more than 85% of students were placed. I plan to go for higher studies after completing b.tech.

Placement Experience:
Placemets are quite hood on the campus nit Durgapur specially trains and encourages the students to sit for internships and placements. A student is eligible to seat for the internships at the beginning of the third and placements from the beginning of the final year.. a student can manage getting a PPO after completing the internship in the 3rd which is also encouraged by the student. The other criteria regarding to placements and internship is quite well-defined in the NIT dgps website.

- infrastructure have to develop a little bit here
- placements for all branches were not same, so for some difficult branches like civil you have to work much harder.
- college should have some more essential things just like large library, swimming pools etc

placements of Nit Durgapur were decent enough, just you just have to give your minimum effort, from the 6th semester onwards placements drive will start, top reputed recruiters of NIT Durgapur include TCS Ninja, pwc, ICICI Bank, Microsoft, etc, more than recruiters part 100icipated in the placement drive. The highest package was 70lpa and the average was 13.64 LPA. Total placements percentage was 83%. if we get a desired placement we can go for it, or else if you have a plan of higher studies you can. Maximum students will get placements easily with their minimum efforts.

- AC classrooms, the library, the Nescafe shop and strolling through the campus.
- Some subjects like intro to programming and DSA were good and challenging.
- Placement and internship opportunities are not bad. Career development centre provides assistance with getting a job.
Dislikes
- The syllabus is outdated and needs to be revamped. New courses like AI/ML and web development should be incorporated in CSE course.
- The students are a mixed bunch. Some are helpful, some not so much. Leaves you with mixed feelings about people (but mostly bad).
- Course materials should be made more available, YouTube playlists recommended by faculty and paper checking process should be made more transparent
Placement Experience:
Placements are pretty decent. Big tech companies like Microsoft and Amazon visit the campus almost every year. JP Morgan, Adobe, and Qualcomm are some other recruiters. Circuital branches see high packages. The average in CSE can reach over 20 LPA. Placement percentage varies from year to year. It's usually above 80 percent. - There is too many clubs covering all the domains.
- Fest is too awesome and i enjoyed it very well.

- NIT durgapur is located in west Bengal .
- Half the student is from Bengal itself .
- Thats why two majorly groups forms i.e. bengali and non bengali.
Course Curriculum Overview:
Faculty is good but being located in West Bengal most of the professor talk in Bengali not in duty hour or in class. If you know English it very easy to handle. Professor are qualified up to the mark.

- Placement is very good in this college. And the rate of placement is increasing every year.
- Professors are very hardworking and very knowledgeable. They try there best to teach.
- There is no risk of ragging or such thing in this college. Ragging is strictly prohibited.
Dislikes
- The mess food is not upto the marks especially for the vegetarian people. But it can be managed after seeing the placements.

Campus placement is very good. The internship starts in the second year. And campus starts from the third year more precisely the fifth semester. This year Microsoft alone has appointed 35 students from our college. The highest package is about 80 lakh for a student who has applied off-campus. On campus, the highest placement is about 55 lakhs. About 90 percent of students get placed in our college every year.

Here is a detailed review shared by my brother who completed his graduation from NIT Durgapur
- Infrastructure: Honestly, the infrastructure isn’t all that great but will provide all the basic amenities necessary for a good academic environment.
- Faculty: Most students have to resort to self-study because the professors are not very passionate about teaching. However, if you do good projects under a professor, you may be able to pursue a master's in a foreign university.
- Placements: NIT Durgapur has recorded excellent placements. This year the highest CTC offered was INR 70 LPA while the average salary offered was INR 13.64 LPA. The top recruiters included TCS Ninja, PwC, ICICI Bank, Microsoft, and many others. More than 100 recruiters participated in the placement drive and 633 students were placed.
- Opportunities: The NIT tag will open a number of opportunities for you and the alumni network is also quite extensive. You can also avail opportunities like workshops and clubs.
- Campus life: The campus life is very active with many fun-filled events like the freshers' farewell party and celebration of regional festivals. Additionally, a number of cultural and technical fests are also held.
- Administration : The administration is very slow and is not cooperative. You might face some issues.
- Location : NIT Durgapur faces no major connectivity issues. The railway station is 30 mins or 14 km away while the nearest airport is at Andal, which isn't well connected, so Kolkata Airport will be a better option. You can find the Auto rickshaw stand just at the main gate.
Overall, NIT Durgapur is a great place if you are unable to make it to IITs.
