Admission to the college is through the CCMT counseling process, contingent on clearing the GATE exam and is based on the candidate's rank. Fees are paid per semester, and students can avail of loans from the in-house SBI and Canara Bank branches on campus. Scholarships are available for master's and research students.
Placement opportunities arise after the 2nd semester for master's students and the 6th semester for bachelor's students. Nearly all B. Tech students secure jobs, often joining organizations like CRPF and CISF, with support from on-campus NCC activities. Fewer master's students are placed, as many opt for further studies. However, Microsoft and Intel offer paid internships to selected master's students, often leading to job offers.
Some master's students also engage in research internships at institutions like IIT Kharagpur.
