What is the fee structure at NIT Durgapur?

I have mentioned below the B.Tech fee structure for AY 2023-24 at NIT Durgapur. The semester tuition fee for B.Tech and DD courses is as per MHRD regulations. That is Rs. 62,500 for students of every semester. If you belong to SC/ST/PH/have family income less than 1 LPA, your tuition fee will be 100% waived. If your family income is between 1-5 LPA, your tuition fee will be 2/3rd waived. The tuition fee has been constant for many years. The hostel fee will vary from one hostel to another, and one month to another. You’ll have to pay a refundable security deposit of 5000 INR at the time of joining the hostel. 6200 INR will be paid as hostel seat rent and hostel establishment charge by students of every semester. Mess charges will be added as applicable. NIT Durgapur is one of the most affordable NITs. In spite of this, it has good mess food.

Here, fee structure is for semester .Means we need to pay semisterwise. Fees for whole course might be around 6 lakh to 6.5 lakhs,and there are some other expenses like food.Because food is not that much good every time in the mess.

the yearly fee structure at NIT Durgapur for the b tech course is wll defined and varies slightly according to category and hostel status. the tution fee for general, obc, and ews category students is 62500/- per semester, which amounts to 125000/- per year. apart from tution, students also pay other compulsory charges such as registration fees, admission fees, development feed, lab fees, library fees, internet and examination fees, and training and placement charges, which together total around 8000/- to 10000/- per semester. a one time caution deposit of about 5000/- to 10000/- is also collected at the time of admission, which is refundable after course completion. hostel residents pay an additional 18000/- to 22000/- semester as hostel establishment and mess advance fees. for sc,st and pwd category students, the entire tution fee is waived, so the pay only the non-tution components and hostel/mess charges, making their annual expense approximately 40000/- to 70000/-. students from economically weaker backgrounds(family income below 1 lakh per year) are also eligible for full tution fee waiver, while those with income between 1 lakh and 5 lakh get partial waivers as per HMRD guidelines.

The hostel and mess fees are 24000. total fees is 180000...We have NSP scholarship and SVMCM scholarship only for Bengali students. Fees do not increase every year. We get 60,000 as SVMCM and depending on various income brackets get the money accordingly in NSP.

The tuition fees is about 62,600 and the hostel fees and all the other expenses are nearly about 28,000.The mess is generally between 15000-20000.The tuition fees varies for the candidates whose income is less than 1 lakh and whose income is between 1-5 lakhs.

Total Fee for Full Course (UG, B.Tech) For B.Tech (4-year) course, total fees (all semesters) are ? ? 6.48 lakhs for most engineering specialisations. In 2024-25, this full course fee was less (? ? 6.02 lakhs) for B.Tech, so there is an increase. --- Changes / Increases The total B.Tech fees have increased from ? ? 6.02 lakhs in 2024-25 to ? ? 6.48 lakhs in 2025-26. Semester tuition for B.Tech/UG remains ? 62,500, but other semester/first semester ancillary/one-time fees (admission, caution money etc.) also make first semester significantly higher.

No, Bachelor of Computer Application [BCA] course is not available in NIT Durgapur. The institute only offers Computer Application specialization at Masters level.
