The Master of Visual Arts (MVA) program in Creative Painting is a two-year course divided over five semesters, with each semester spanning six months, followed by exams. The assessments include practical exams, presentations, viva, displays, and theory exams. The theory subjects cover Modern Art History and Philosophy of Art. Presentations involve showcasing an artist's work, which is also the basis for the viva, along with the student's personal art.
Practical exams are based on topics assigned by faculty. The exams are generally considered manageable. The annual fee for the program is 36,760 INR. Although a scholarship form is available through the UP government, no scholarships were awarded last year. The college provides an eco-friendly, ragging-free environment, fostering a supportive atmosphere for students.
