Life in Sharda University

Likes

I liked the college architecture its very good.
I also like the academic opportunities that college gives to the students.
I also love events which are done mostly everyday.

Dislikes

I don’t like the faculty here they don’t listen to you.
I don’t like rules of the college like the college can do whatever they want to the students.
I don’t like the schedule of the college because sometimes they do gap of 3 hours between the classes.

Admission:

I chose Sharda University instead of another colleges because the course i wanted to do at that is only in this University and the course was bca ai ml but in another colleges this course was not there and i also liked the architecture of the college at that time.

The experience I had at Sharda University

Likes

The infrastructure is really good, had ample of space to explore which is nice for a college.
Some faculty or most of them were supportive and did not interfere with anyone if required
Food was top notch, you had ample of cafes and restaurants and even mess to choose from

Dislikes

The constant pressure of the gujjars and yadavs.
Their lms was not that good. Had to do a lot of go around to make it work.
Needs better concerts and better event management.

Admission:

I did not apply to any other college. I just went with this one and just because I had heard its name. Ads were running and basically it's very big when it comes to area and also I wanted to enjoy my life plus study, so that's why I chose this university. Admission process is simple as I told you cut-off for these exams are basically attendance, 75% and in admission you only need above 60% in your 12th or even 10th, then you have a call basically an exam examination where face-to-face interview is there and then you are selected Not that tough to be very honest. People can easily get in as I have seen people paying amount to you know, just enter the course, mostly most people are through this way only.

Sharda CSE is more efficient than that of IITs and that's been said by IIT professors who teach here now.
Our CSE labs are straight from outlandish US universities as they are that superb.

Admission:

Sharda University highlights SUAT dates which Sharda University Admission Test on their site and also send ads of them on social media. So, that's one way of getting admission and other way ofcourse is the JEE scores. One can apply either way as university keeps seats reserved for reserved category students too.

All teachers here are over qualified as for UG, Sharda University has PhD faculties.
Our university management is the best thing I have ever come across in my life.
Even the government institutions don't have the facilities that Sharda University has.

Dislikes

Fees is high for a student of middle class family as even hostels are quite expensive and so I have opted out of it and have taken a PG.

Well AKTU entrance and JEE scores both are taken into account for admission in Sharda University school of Engineering and Technology. Not many toppers or high ranked as students in mid thousands too have chance to showcase here as rankers as high as 40k or so are also accepted here.

the canteen food in the college so expensive which major of students can not afford
parking space is not there inside the campus for free but only paid parking is there which is too much expensive like 60000 per year
college is collecting 2000 per credit for fr and fi re-exam

Admission:

i choose this college because of the versatile culture and also because it has an international branch in many country which can play a major role in placements, no i dont get any regection but seat was not avalable there. admession process was very easy you just have to pay 30000 rs to seat reservation and no entrance exam, but if you are from goverment board then you have to give the entrance exam which is very easy to clear

The faculty is just too awesome, Knowledge, trained and cooperative.
I am a lot involved in campus activities, the interactions with foreigner students make me understand their culture and a lot about the people around the world.
Infrastructure is great, starting from the secure entry to the well developed classrooms, clean and tidy campus with all the basic as well as essential amneties.

Dislikes

More social interaction with celebrities and concerts and more events
Groupism negativity within the social students group

Admission:

I chose this College because of affordablity and quality within budget. I didn't applied any college other than this. Admission process was totally online, but yes I visited once before admission to counselling department to verify and cross check few things.

College infrastructure was nice and huge. Including library and how people from different country and race come and learn together.
College environment was safe and growing.

Dislikes

The college needs to work on their Placement as there is no suitable team for college placement.
Lacks Mentorship from the teachers and seniors. So, that student can work on other skills other than academics to enhance their own growth.

Admission:

Want to save the year so get into random college meanwhile preparaing for neet. Before, that got selected in DU college but want to focus on NEET and due to the COVID didn't make it. The admission process was pretty easy visited the admission cell, submitted my form and fees.

Everything is about attendance, in some classes all the things matter is attendance
Some teachers do not teach anything, they just come and stay in the class until it get over

Admission:

Actually, I have applied to some of other colleges for the same course, like I have applied for Christ University, sharda university, upes. I haven't got rejected from any of these college, everyone sent me addmission letter. But I removed upes and Christ University banglore branch because it was far away from my home city

I cannot think of anything that the Sharda University does or has that all other similar or cheaper colleges/universities don't do better

Dislikes

Teachers and officials and their lack of cooperation with students. Teachers forced us to make things as difficult as possible for the sake of following their guidelines that 1. Served no practical purpose 2. Were not requirements from the management
Accounts department was very sketchy when it came to fees and reimbursements for overpays
Some male students from neighbouring localities or other students from rich backgrounds or connections had way more leeway than regular students who were just trying to make a difference in their lives.

I wasn't planning to stay here. Sharda University is an institution which, outside of Sharda, is known for "hariyali" which is simply a misogynist and perverted way of referring to rich party girls that tend to do humanities courses here. The university is not only known for its terrible culture of predatory behavior towards female students, it is also known for hooliganism, students who are sons or daughters of politicians or local road goons.
