SHUATS offers the MSc program as its flagship course. The university admits students to its various courses on the basis of merit as well as entrance examination scores. The entrance examinations accepted by the institution are JEE Main, CAT, MAT, GRE, GATE, NET etc., as well as its own entrance SOET. The university arranges its counseling in two phases : Merit based offline counseling for the SOET examinees (mandatory for Agriculture and Pharmacy candidates) and Open online counseling for applicants of academic departments besides Agriculture and Pharmacy.
For admission to the MSc program, the applicant is required to be a graduate in any discipline.
SHUATS accepts applications only through the online mode. Candidates can register @shuats.org/appform/login.aspx and fill up the application form. Next, the applicant is needed to register for SOET or upload documents and select the preferred course. Through the offline counseling based on SOET score or the online counseling, seats are allocated. Selected students are required to report for documents verification and payment of the admission fee to secure their allotted seats.

SHUATS Admission FAQs
Ques. Are there separate application forms for SOET and Open Counseling at SHUATS?
Ans. No. The application form is unique for all the applicants at SHUATS. Based on the chosen course, the applicants are directed to download the SOET Admit Card or upload their testimonials. Only the students applying to courses from the departments of Agriculture and Pharmacy are required to appear in SOET.
Ques. Is the counselling process of SHAUTS online or offline?
Ans. Both. Online counseling at SHUATS takes place for all applicants except the ones who apply to Agriculture and Pharmacy courses. For those applying to courses from the departments of Agriculture and Pharmacy, offline counseling takes place following SOET.
Ques. Is there any reservation or consideration offered to the Christian students at SHUATS?
Ans. Yes. 50% of the total no. of seats are reserved for Christian students at SHUATS. Also, separate merit lists of Christian students based on the university’s own entrance examination SOET are published.
Ques. Does SHUATS take admission through the All India Entrance conducted by ICAR?
Ans. Yes. SHUATS reserves 15% seats of its UG programs and 25% seats of its PG programs belonging to the department of Agriculture to be filled through the entrance examination conducted by ICAR.
Ques. Can a student appear in SOET of SHUATS from home?
Ans. Yes. SHUATS conducts SOET in two ways : Remotely Proctored Online Test (Accessible through personal Desktop/Laptop) and Computer Based Test (Taken at selected test centres only).
Ques. Does SHUATS offer final admission online to the candidates applying through open counseling?
Ans. No. Following the uploading of testimonials, an applicant is offered provisional admission provided the eligibility criteria are fulfilled. At the next step, the candidate is prompted to pay the submission fee through the online portal within the next 48 hours to confirm the provisional admission. Final admission is offered upon the verification of documents which takes place before the classes for the new academic session begin.
