Eligibility Criteria

Candidate must hold a B.Tech / B.E. degree in Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, or a related discipline, OR an M.Sc. in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Life Sciences, or a related field from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (55% for SC/ST candidates).

JIIT M.Tech Biotechnology Scholarships 2026

JIIT offers Teaching Assistantship (TA) to M.Tech students, which is the primary financial support available for this programme. GATE-qualified candidates are eligible for TA of Rs. 15,000 per month as per existing JIIT policy. Non-GATE candidates with a CGPA of 7.5 or above in their qualifying degree are also eligible for TA of Rs. 15,000 per month for one semester, with continuation subject to maintaining CGPA 7.5 in each subsequent semester.
