Periyar University is a state university in Salem, Tamil Nadu, India. It was established by the Government of Tamil Nadu in 1997. Periyar University imparts higher education through its Departments of Study and Research, Periyar Institute of Distance Education (PRIDE), and the Affiliated Colleges. The 29 departments offer research programs apart from postgraduate and some certificate programs. In addition, the five departments at the PG Extension Centre, Dharmapuri offer Post Graduate programs.

At the PG level, Periyar University offers various courses to the candidates seeking admission in MA, M.Com. and M.Sc. courses. The duration of these courses is 2 years. In addition to this, the university also offers a Master of Library and Information Science and its duration is 1 year.

Periyar University MBA, MCA and M.Ed Admissions 2024
Periyar University offers MCA (aided and self-supportive), MCA (aided and self-supportive lateral entry), and MBA to the students who seek to take admission at the postgraduate level. There are 71, 142, and 200 seats available for each program respectively. The duration for MCA (aided and self-supportive) is for three years and the rest is two years.
For MCA, candidates need to appear in TANCET which is an online entrance examination for the mentioned course. Students who are willing to seek admission in MBA will need to appear either in TANCET or MAT followed by group discussion and personal interview.

- Most of them are Friendly staffs and well experienced
- The staffs will give best guidance for the student's career

- Non availability of restrooms for boys is major dislike

Admission:
I chosen this college because it collects low fee from students and it was the 2nd nearest college to me. Other colleges are about 20km distance from my home. So It is an tough task to reach college by ontime by using our buses/trains. In other colleges except government colleges, all colleges are collecting more fee which is unplayable by me. The admission process of our college is An website will open by the government. In that website you need to apply for the colleges and course whatever you want to choose. Then, from the college they will call you for counselling. You must pay the fee whenever you have got your seat. If you not pay the fee at that spot you will lose your seat. In other colleges I didn't get a confirmed seat and I didn't have any rejection at any other colleges. There is no entrance exam conducted by the college. You must have an average eligible cutoff of 200/400.

- Classrooms are not good at all and very dusty

- Communication skills , great teaching from teachers , well facilities for toilets
- Canteen facilities was great in this college , foods , snacks are well prepared and being attracted by many students.

- Some maintenance need in college !... That's all

I choosed this college based on reviewes of teaching and placement facilities.. Also this college is nearby to my house and easy to travel and study .. This is no entrance exam in this college , you can apply to this college Directly and enroll in activites.. Eligibility must be 10th and 12th pass with average marks .. Admission experience was nice , faculties in admission section helped more and more ..

- Courses are conducted fully as per university norms for all courses.
Dislikes
- Other things are not a problem in this college in my experience
- The college has no sports teams as it has no stadium

In our college there are many cultural events and seminar and conference will conduct and we have placement and we go to some other colleges for our seminar and conferences and NCC and NSS is available

- The department staff's is humble and friendly charcters .
- They provide bus facility without any problems to any place of city .
Dislikes
- They conducted minimum function in our college we need some extra more function .
- Canteen food is also not tasty and prose rate is too high compared to my place .
Admission:
I am only applying Mahendra arts and science college . And I got application same day . No I am not get any rejection from other colleges. The admission process is too easy in our college , aadhar card , 10th marksheet Xerox , 12th mark sheet Xerox , health certificate, and original school TC . My overall admission experience in good .

- Nothing to dislike but stick college in thiruchengode
- Free buses but give letter for stop changing and bus changing

I didn't choose any other college because of salty and fees. This college is affordable for my safety and fees and also teaching methodology. Some of the entrance were conducted, if you scored high marks they reduce the fees amount. Test conducted in online. If we not interested in test we get admission directly

- Free space to live in campus. affordable teacher are very kind to everyone
- Every year IV are conducted in other states. Function and programm are jolly to students

- During break and lunch time canteen might be crowd on bill side

I have chosen this university for four reasons. Number one, I carried out extensive research into the university, track record of achievement for students. You don't need to clear any exam just book seat for your addmission in the college. Pay the admission fee thats all

- Actually the entire university is such a wonderful place and especially i love my department a lot the staffs are very friendly
- They had individual labs and there is a common lab apart from this each department have individual library

The major reason for choosing was their fee consection and hostel feels are very affordable and refundable and many scholorships the friendly staffs and facility was too good and i saw many other state students was also studying here

- There are so many extra caricular activities and workshops, competitions they conducted those are really entertainment and useful
- Faculties are really good and friendly their teaching methods also good
Dislikes
- When I was studied there is no good canteen.
- Our lab facilities are really good but sometimes it's had technical issues so our practical works are delayed
Admission:
I have interested in medical line and fashion designing line after 12th I choose fashion designing over medical line. In searching of college for Fashion Designing course I Heard about KSR college by some people. Most of them suggested me Ksr and also they explained about lab facilities so I choose this college and it's really true.
