My Honest Opinion about Holy Cross College, Nagercoil- Give it a read!

Likes

I liked the educational conferences they provided us. Often we attended national conferences and seminars.
Extra curricular programs like RUN and CEC. We went to different villages and collected data from them for our input.
The food in canteen was good. They tried to provide us with different snacks everyday.

Dislikes

Lack of other extra curricular acitvities. Sometimes it felt like school. If they provided us with activities that improve our skills it would be better.
The lack of culturals and the time to practice is comparatively less. For example if there is to perform certain program in 10 days

Placement Experience:

Those who have completed their bachelor's are very much eligible for Campus drives. They also encourage start-up ideas. A list of 30- 40 companies will take you in for a job. About 45% of the students get placed.

Our college located in centre of the city. So that no problem for the public transport
Our college campus should be neat and clean
Our college atmosphere and infrastructure is good

Dislikes

Our college timing is full working day compare to other arts and science college
No placements and in intenship in our college

I am very interested in maths and physics. So I decided to join with this course. Each and every week they conduct weekly exams for the students in difficult level. Teaching methods of the staffs are very initiatives.

My college life in Malankara Catholic College

Likes

I like the college infrastructure you really enjoye the ambience of the campus.
They provide library it's have all kinds of reference books.
Here faculties are highly qualified there teaching qualities also good.

Dislikes

I like infrastructure but they do not provide lift facilities to students for easy transportation
You don't have any freedom to go outside of campus during intervals.
Some securities and college staff behavior is not good towards students.

Placement Experience:

After 5th semester students are eligible for campus placements. Companies like TCS, RRD, Allianz etc visited during campus placement they provide average package of 18000/- rs for freshers who start there careers. 30% students get placement. My plans after getting the degree to do post graduation.

A sneak into M S University Zoology world.

Likes

Admission process and allotment is really smooth. Syllabus is good.
Syllabus is UGC NET based and curriculum is valid.
Smooth conduction of exams and result announcements.

Dislikes

Not giving importance to competitive exams.
Not much placements based on the subject.
Final year projects are not taken seriously.

The curriculum is appreciable. They have included UGC NET syllabus which is helpful to prepare for UGC NET and CSIR JRF exams. Also practical experience helps us to perform in the position of research assistants.

Awesome to inbuilt your knowledge also your extra curricular activities

Likes

The college infrastructure is awesome and impressive
The staffs are very much knowledgeable and friendly
Library facilities available. And it is much more useful

Dislikes

Bike parking space is not enough for women
Bathroom cleanliness have to be improved
Canteen place have to be eloborate and it have to be more hygiene

The thing that I liked about my college includes the atmosphere

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was enrolled as a BSC student at my college, specializing in the domain "Nautical Science". The eleigibility critera for the exam was to obtain a percentage of 60% average in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematicatics in the 12th standard. Additional eligibility included not having color blindness as well as a good vision. Medical test was also a part of the admission process, conducted by the college.

The rate of this colleges infrastructure and hostel facilities is excellent. Many facilities are provided to the students, including good rooms and bathroom facilities. The breakfast, lunch, and dinner offered in the college hostel are delicious

Dislikes

The scholarship is available, and number one students and students from poor families receive a fee reduction
