SGBAU enrolls candidates to MBA & MCA courses on the basis of a valid score in MAH CET followed by CAP Counselling. Admission to M.Com and MA are merit-based, while for specializations in M.Sc, SGBAU conducts course-specific entrance tests. For M.P.Ed and M.Ed courses at SGBAU, admission is offered based on marks in CET conducted by DTE. Admission to LLM & MLISc is based on the performance in the last qualifying examination. The admission process is smooth you need to secure good marks in the engineering entrance exam which is MHT-CET and JEE maximum admission is done through the MHT-CET score there are a total of 7 to 8 seats for management quota. The total seats vary as per field for Computer and IT there are a total of 180 vacancies and for civil and mech there are 120 and 180 seats respectively.The areas I would like to improve is first yr the admission process and the unusual money taken during the admission.
Admission:
There are different cut off for different categories but the cut-off for CS and IT branches is quite high but for other branches cut off is considerably low the cut off for the instrumentation department is the lowest.

- Mess food is average and no palce to chill in campus

For the different courses the fees and the eligibility criteria is different Like if you want to take admission in CSE you have to score minimum 91 percentile in the CET For it it's 85 and like that but minimum is 60 In that case reservation criteria also involved which affects the cut off percentile

- College faculty members are very friendly and helpful. Thy always see towards up whenever we need any help and guide at every step. They always treat us like their child . Our college campus also very well developed and the infrastructure also good .
- Our college also organised many events and programs. Every student can participate in any event ... They get their certificate of participation and many rewards for the winner. They also organised festival wise events and programs and celebrate it ..
Dislikes
- Some times the college canteen is not giving the good food . There is no taste at all . College canteen facilities are good though not that much of poor . But the food is not very good
- Internet facility are not available in college campus .

Course is very much better .. the course is given according to cutoff of every department. Eligible also depends on the cap round forms. Admission process is also step by step .. Anyone can understand the process

For Addmission in this college student should give entrance exams as cet or jee.The college cutt off is different for diffrent branches with cet as: CS needs 74+ percentile IT needs 67+ percentile Extc needs 50+ percentile Mechanical needs 50+ percentile The above cutt of is for OBC students and general students too just the difference is general students needs 1-3 percentile more than this.

- I like the college provided campus. It is very big . And there are many places to organise different functions.

- I don't like the hostel timings. It's 7 pm for girls.

I took admission on mhtcet examination score. That time cutoff for electronic and telecommunication branch was above 90% for OBC students. The date of the application depends on the in which round you applied to college. There was three rounds for us.

- In some area of college some of the building are still old and are not renew

For taking admission in government college of engineering Amravati, MHT CET score is needed in PCM group. For top branches like CSE,IT ENTC score of 90 percentile is required minimum . For category with reservation have benifit in admission process. Every year MHT CET is conducted and on that basis only admission is done
