DBATU M.Tech course is available in 11 specializations offering the students a range of options to choose from. In order to seek admission to the M.Tech programmes, a candidate needs to hold a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline. DBATU M.Tech admission will be made through a Centralized Admission Process of the Directorate of Technical Education for GATE-qualified candidates. Students who have not qualified for GATE must appear in the entrance test organized by affiliated colleges.

DBATU M.Tech Eligibility Criteria
Candidate should have passed with at least 50 % in Bachelor degree or equivalent in the relevant field of Engineering/Technology from State Governments/MHRD recognized institutions or universities as the Postgraduate Programme will be as per the specialization in the Bachelor Degree. The candidates of Maharashtra State belonging to Backward class categories and Persons with Disability shout score at least 45% marks in the above-mentioned subjects
For Maharashtra State Candidate and OMS candidates:-
The candidate must have a valid GATE score in respective qualifying branch.
For Children of NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National:-
The candidate should have passed with at least 50 % in Bachelor's degree or equivalent in the relevant field of Engineering/Technology from State Governments/MHRD recognized institutions or university, as the Postgraduate Programme will be as per the specialization in the Bachelor's Degree.
DBATU M.Tech Admission Process 2024
The candidates falling under the eligibility criteria will be selected by the university on the following basis:-
- The candidates will be selected on merit basis only.
- The merit will be evaluated based on their valid GATE Score.
- There will be two types of merits lists:
- General Merit List – All the Candidates who may be Sponsored or Non-Sponsored candidate will be selected on the basis of their performance in the GATE.
- NRI Merit List – The candidates who are sons and daughters of NRI persons and are desirous of seeking admission in Government and Govt. Aided Engineering Colleges will be selected on the basis of their performance in the GATE.
How to Apply 2024?
The following are steps the candidates must follow to apply for M.Tech. Programme offered by the university through Centralized Admission: –
- The candidates willing to take admission in M.Tech. Programme can apply online. The application forms will be available online at the DTE Maharashtra Official Website, the candidates will have to make an e-payment of the application processing fees via net banking. The candidates will have to pay online application processing fees using net banking facility available to submit the forms.
- Application Form Processing fees
- The application form processing fees is Rs. 700/- for General Category of Maharashtra State Candidates and Outside Maharashtra State (OMS) Candidates, Rs. 500/-for Candidates belonging to for reserved category candidates and Persons with Disability Candidates belonging to Maharashtra State. The payment is to be made via Net Banking. The fee is Non- Refunded and Non- Transferable.
- Candidates who fail to pay the required fees as per the schedule will have pay late fees of Rs.1000.
- There will be a soft copy of the Receipt of Payment of fees which the candidates are required to print and produce it at the time of confirmation of submission of CAP application form.
- The candidates must have the Application form printed consisting of the required documents for verification. All the candidates must get their documents verified and Application confirmed in person at any one of the Application Form Receipt Centers.
- The candidates should submit attested copies of documents along with the all Original documents for verification at the allotted at the Application Form Receipt Center and the produce Receipt of Payment of fees made via net banking. The candidates applying for Backward Class Category must produce a valid caste certificate failing to do so the candidature will be treated as General Category candidate and the candidate will have to pay the difference in the fees in cash prior submission of the documents at the Application Form Receipt Center.
- The candidates who are applying as Candidates of Maharashtra state fail to produce the required documents; they will be treated as OMS candidates.
- The OMS candidates Positive GATE score can apply through CAP against the GATE-Non-Sponsored seats by filling and submitting the application form online. The candidates will have to get their application confirmed and get the required documents for verification in person at any Application Form Receipt Center.
