For the Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) program at Calicut University, candidates must have completed their 10+2 or equivalent exams to be eligible. The admission process is straightforward, with no entrance exams required specifically for this program. The application forms, fees, and relevant dates are available on the university's official website and at local service centers. Reservation benefits exist and are governed by established norms, offering advantages to certain categories, including those with a Jain background.
Marks secured in the 12th board examinations play a critical role in admissions, affecting the prospective list of colleges a student can access. While some reviews suggest that additional structure and facilities, such as a defined canteen and sports infrastructure, could enhance the campus environment, others highlight the efficient and simple nature of the current admission procedures. Students appreciate the program for its valuable commerce faculty and proximity to their residence, making it a popular choice in the locality.
The infrastructure, including advanced classrooms, contributes positively to the overall educational experience. While the admission process is generally manageable, some students find certain aspects, like timelines and further application steps, challenging to navigate initially. However, securing admission with good 12th-grade marks remains a top priority for students aiming for esteemed colleges under Calicut University.
