VSKUB Course Admission 2025: Dates, Fees, Eligibility, Application Process, Selection Criteria

Vijayanagara Sri Krishnadevaraya University (VSKUB) offers various undergraduate degree programs such as BA, B.Sc., B.Com, BCA, BBM, and BHM in its affiliated colleges. The duration of these courses is 3 years.  A candidate must pass 10+2 from a recognized university with at least 50% marks (45% in case SC/ST candidates) in order to be eligible to apply for the undergraduate courses. There is no entrance for these courses and the candidates are solely selected on the basis of merit at the 10+2 level.

Application Process:

The applications form for admission to an undergraduate course can be obtained from the affiliated colleges and submit it with the required details. The required documents are:

• Marks card of the qualifying exam
• Passport size photograph
• Income and caste certificate (If applicable)
• Migration certificate

For all courses except MBA, candidates are shortlisted on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination through counseling. In the case of an MBA, the selection is done through a state-level entrance test.

At the PG level, VSKU offers various courses in multiple streams such as Arts, Science, Commerce, Education, Law, and Engineering. The registration for these courses usually commences in the month of July every year.

Selection Process:

The selection of candidates for PG courses except MBA is done on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination through counselling. Candidates are required to visit the chairman of the departments they wish to apply to and get themselves registered for counselling. Candidates will be provided with a slip which they will have produce at the time of counselling. The selected candidates will be required to produce their documents along with paying the admission fee. To confirm their admission they will have to produce the slip of payment to the director of the concerned department.

The selection of candidates for MBA is done through PGCET-MBA, a state level entrance test conducted by the state of Karnataka.

• The Application Fee is INR 600 for general category candidates while for SC/ST candidates, it is INR 300
• The payment of the application fee can be done through NEFT to the Finance officer of VSTU.

The application form for MBA programme the application form is available on the official website www.rcub.ac.in. Candidates have to fill in the challan number and application number for completing the application process.

Reservation of seats:

In the PG programme Graduates of VSK University: 60% seats are reserved for graduates of VSK University, 20% for other graduates within the state and 20% for graduates from other states.

VSKU invites application for its Ph.D. Courses. The courses are available in both full time and part-time formats. The selection of candidates is mainly done through an entrance (SKURESCET) conducted by the university itself which is followed by an interview. The application process will begin in the month of May.

Eligibility Criteria:

For being eligible for these courses requires a candidate to:

• Pass Bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from a recognized university in a stream demanded by the subject he wishes to apply to
• Secure at least 55% marks at postgraduate level (50% in case of SC/ ST students)

Selection Process:

• The University makes its selection of candidates based on the rank achieved in 'SRI KRISHNADEVARAYA UNIVERSITY RESEARCH COMMON ENTRANCE TEST'(SKURESCET) followed by an interview.
• 85% seats are reserved for local students, who are employed for at least 4 years in the University area, in part-time courses.
• Candidates who have passed M. Tech., M.D. (Medical), M.E., M. Pharm don’t need to appear for the entrance. They will be selected based on the marks in their qualifying exam, and an interview.

Note: Admission will not be granted to candidates who are either employed or enrolled in any other full-time course, for full-time courses.

Candidates can apply online from VSKU website by paying the required registration fee which has to be paid online. The application is separate for M.Phil.And Ph.D. courses.
