Horticulture college review

Likes

Faculty and the college was good and well treated
Involvement in extra curricular activities
State study tour and all India study tour

Dislikes

Little extra requirement of field area and various crops
Hostel food was good but sometimes I wish
It was better and other than this everything is good

Admission:

I got admission through KCET examination and I applied for some other colleges of the same university but I got college of horticulture ,munirabad according to the score I received in examination. Even people write separate agriculture examinations to get into the course

The bright and dark side of my college

Likes

I felt that I am lucky to join this college or course because in the generation of sitting in a room infront of computers I got the chance to spend the time in nature.
Labs are well equipped, lab assistants also cooperate us
Along with study,our college also support for co-curricular activities like sports and cultural events

Dislikes

Less practical knowledge, more use of smart board
No placement facilities are available so students don't have secured future
Less interaction with agriculture experts

Admission:

I applied for this college only, as had dream to learn in good college,I thought it's that college that I had dreamed.To get admission in this college initially I had written agriculture practical exam,then option entry later through kea-cet base I got the seat here.

They gave us free laptop to scst students .
Teaching faculties are good with good experience.
Smart boards are used for teaching and for developing the skills.

Dislikes

No proper responses from the academic management .
The distance between college and girls hostel is more.
They conduct less Cultural activities for students.

Admission:

I had applied first of agriculture university dharwad during option entry . But i got univertsity of horticulture bagalkot college in 1st round seat allotment through kea. Admission procedure is through kea or icar.

i liked Infrastructure of this college and the facilities
library if vary big and different types of various books are available
teaching is good and field visit also there

Dislikes

canteen facilities is not there it has to be improve
there is a more distance between the hostel and college

this the main University of over other sub campus .i applied other courses also i liked this college and selected to this college in 1st round of seat allotment in ICAR Admission is through ICAR and KEA

The Insights of a Horticulture degree life.

Likes

Great scope for academics. In our university a very detailed emphasis is given on the students academic curriculum and each student is given through attention to help them get good grades.
Second and the most important aspect that is greatly helpful is the support for extracurricular activities. We have Youthfests and Sports every year on National levels that is very helpful for the students.
Good exposure to the theory part of the course with the help of practical classes and field trips. This gives us the benefits of experiencing what we have studied in practical format.

Dislikes

Marks for attendance. Here we have 5 marks for attendance and if we are absent for more than 6 to 7 classes then our attendance will be 0 and we will not be permitted to attend the exam.
Absence of placement cell. Even after completion of the course there are no direct placements form the college.
Better internships. Here we are not exposed to good internships that will help us land a god in the future or give us any exposure to what we have studied.

Admission:

Along with this college I had also applied for forestry and veterinary colleges. But unfortunately my rank was not sufficient for me to get into those colleges. Thus I choose this course which was the next best option. The admission process of the college is pretty simple once you have the adequate rank for the college you lock your college. Then on a fixed date set by the college adminstration we have to come to the college and submit our basic details fill forms for college and hostel if opting for the hostel facility and pay a caution money deposit. Later on the college starts and on the first day of college you are supposed to fill the courses for the semester and make the fee deposit for that semester all of this process is completely hassel free as all of this is done in online format.

Admission:

College is good for undergraduates. Good professors are there. Overall college is good. But not much as compared to Arabhavi, Bangalore, and Bagalkot because there Post graduation courses are also available. Eligibility is 12th passed in the science stream.
