No, entrance examination is not necessary for admission to all the courses in Karnataka State Open University. The admission to some courses is done on merit basis (marks secured in the previous qualifying examination).
Students seeking admission in the M.Sc Mathematics program of KSOU must have a B.Sc or B.Sc Honors in Mathematics from a recognized university with at least 50% marks. But the university has closed the admission registration process for the 2022-23 academic session on November 15, 2022.
