BAU Ranchi Faculty

The faculty at this college are highly qualified, with all teaching faculty holding PhDs and lab assistants possessing M.Sc qualifications. The teaching staff includes professors who are also scientists, conducting field experiments and contributing to agricultural advancements, such as developing new rice and groundnut varieties like Birsa Dhan 101, Birsa Dhan 102, and Birsa Bold.

There are around 200 lecturers, including contractual professors, with a faculty-to-student ratio that supports accessibility and interaction. Despite some faculty focusing primarily on salaries, many provide updated agricultural data and foster student engagement. Courses involve 3-4 teachers each, with 6-7 instructors per course, and the curriculum spans 8 semesters with three exams per semester.
