Ques. What CUET-UG subjects are required for the Integrated B.Sc. (Hons.) - M.Sc. Biotechnology programme?
Ans. Candidates must appear in CUET-UG 2026 domain papers relevant to Biotechnology (typically Life Sciences or Biotechnology domain). Scores are used for merit-based seat allotment through CU Jammu’s centralised counselling. Check the NTA CUET-UG bulletin for the exact domain paper code.
Ques. Can a student exit before completing all five years?
Ans. Yes. Under the NEP 2020 framework, students may exit with a B.Sc. (Hons.) after three years or with a B.Sc. (Research) after four years. Students who complete all five years are awarded both the B.Sc. (Hons.) and M.Sc. degrees.
Ques. Are the fees the same for self-financing seats?
Ans. Students admitted on self-financing seats pay an additional one-time self-financing fee of INR 2,00,000 at the time of admission, over and above the regular semester fees. Regular-category seats follow the published semester fee schedule.
Ques. Is hostel accommodation guaranteed at CU Jammu?
Ans. Hostel accommodation is available on campus at INR 18,000 per semester and off campus at INR 12,000 per semester, with mess charges extra. Allotment is subject to availability and is not guaranteed at the time of admission.
