CU Jammu B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering: Fees 2026, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

The college offers a personalized learning environment with a 1:10 student-to-professor ratio, ensuring individual attention. Each class comprises 60 students with 10 faculty members. The first semester includes a 45-mark mid-semester exam and a 75-mark end-semester exam for 6 subjects. About 80 to 85 students successfully pass each semester. Faculty are generally supportive, though the Advanced Cryptography course has limitations with instruction only from PDFs. Students can participate in placements from their third year, though the engineering program is relatively new with no established placement record yet.

M.Tech students have secured decent packages, and B.Tech placements are expected to average INR 6 lakh. MBA placements offer up to INR 12 lakh, with the highest package reaching INR 40 lakh, particularly in cybersecurity. Companies like Wipro, TCS, and Infosys visit for recruitment. The college provides internship opportunities, notably a program with IIST Thiruvananthapuram leading to an ISRO internship for avionics students, and anticipated DRDO opportunities for CSE students.

The first-year tuition fee is INR 60,000, with additional costs like an examination fee of INR 1,900, lab fee of INR 500, and other charges totaling INR 85,000 annually. Scholarships are not offered directly by the university; students must apply for external options. The work-while-you-study program helps financially. Additional expenses include a degree certificate fee of INR 1,200, soft skills training and placement fee of INR 7,000, project fee of INR 2,000, student insurance of INR 130, and an alumni membership fee of INR 1,000 in the first year.
